Man-Bat would be awesome. What better way to differentiate the new Batman from the previous grounded take?

Two words: Mister Freeze. Much more flexible than Man-Bat, in that he's not limited solely to a "Find out who the monster is" plot.

If they want a detective story with a sci-fi/horror edge, then Man-Bat, Clayface, or Hugo Strange and the Monster Men would work great.

I'd probably take the latter two over Man-Bat, if given the choice.

There is a formula to Batman that I dont see WB straying away from quite a while. Crime, terrorism, psychological film etc. At best I can see them branching in to horror with a psychological edge. Guys like Clayface and Man-Bat will be offered by many other franchises both with in DCEU and outside of it. I can see them as opening fodder but as lead villains? nah.
Again Prometheus gimmick is that he has plans to take down people like JL. He is toothless in a Batman film? I actually like the character btw.
Anti-Batman refers to characters who dedicate their minds and bodies for the pursuit of one single-minded goal. These characters are Batman's equals conceptually, they just exist on the other side.
Black Mask is not that guy, he's a weak willed thug who's not particularly good at anything except maybe torture.
I do believe it was a poster who noticed the directors that were supposedly in the running all had horror/psychological thriller backgrounds.
So...save Promotheus for a Tower of Babel adaptation, to highlight his "anti-Batman" nature even more.
Not like they can't adapt Black Mask to be more formidable.

Clayface is a great character. Doubting we'll ever see a cinematic version though. :( I'd go with Black Mask for main villain in a Batman movie.

I don't think he should be the main villain of a Batman movie, villain of a GCS movie works better

I think he works best as a main threat to Catwoman. As long as you mention his ties to Bruce, it works.

I actually thought Lex was a great foil to Batman in BvS.

I just wish that instead of a 20 year Batman, they made him somewhere around 10 to 15 years on the job. He'd still be a veteran and in his prime but not as been there done that Batman. We as the Audience can go through the journey with him.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: if they want to use a dark mirror superpowered Evil Batman? Use Bane. He's an actual Batman villain, with actual thematic resonance, and actual Bat comic plots to draw from. The only virtue Deathstroke brings is "cool fight scenes", and there's no reason you can't do good fight scenes with any number of other villains.
While I don't disagree with you, that's precisely why the Deathstroke choice has (had?) me excited - there's no go-to Batman/Deathstroke story so we were likely in for something new and original.

Haven't posted here in forever. First off, I hope Joe is still playing Deathstroke and all of that is part of the script.

Second, I cannot wait for production to begin. I hope we get something similar we got with Zack's Batfleck reveal, except this time, we could maybe see him with the car in a different setting and a different suit. Depending on the timeline here, I really hope for a grey and blue.

I'm hoping that Reeves goes against Snyder's edict and ages Affleck's Batman down a few years.

The grey temples bother me. They constantly remind me that Bruce is old not because it makes sense in the story but because Snyder likes the Dark Knight Returns Batman.

It did make sense in the story of BvS. He had been active as Batman for over twenty years and he was starting to question the point of it all.

RDJ had grey temples in the Avengers and then didn't have them anymore for IM2, AOU, CW and it seems Homecoming. They could do the same with Bruce.

"His newfound purpose is expressed via hair dye".

But...it makes sense in the story...

Ben's Batman has displayed more agility and power than all the previous Batmen. Combined. A little gray is hardly going to bother. All I care about is he maintain his build.

So not only does Nightwing exist in this universe, but now Batgirl does too.

Hyyyyyyype.

I hope we see a lot of the Bat family in the Batman movie. It would certainly make the movie feel distinct.

I think family and allies will certainly be a key theme, but I'd bet we'd most likely see the Batfamily together (or back together) in THE BATMAN RETURNS or whatever it ends up being called.

I really hope they scrap Deathstroke and do the Red Hood storyline
Deathstroke belongs in the Nightwing movie and/or a Titans movie

For ****'s sake... there's really no need for a batgirl film. Especially not directed by Whedon.

Also, I was hoping that if Barbara was in this universe, she'd be Oracle and not in costume.
