His healing ability puts him on the same level as Wolverine. This is not wimpy Angel from x3 (though he was still strong) this is Archangel, Apocalypse's creation designed to destroy. Flying is not his only ability.

We have to say that x-men from original timeline are weaker than those in this new timeline.

Cyclops as teenager in new timeline will fight apocalypse and will get more experiences in battlefield. Adult Cyclops from original timeline is weak and gets beaten by Toad. With Apo, Angel in new timeline is more powerful. In OT he didnt meet Apocalypse. He gets killed by Sentinels.

Bear in mind a few things:

-They're not even close to being done filming, so a lot of the effects are either not there are not completed yet (hence why they didn't release this trailer outside of SDCC I think).

-It's quite possible that as Apocalypse grows more powerful, he upgrades his look (he's VERY different here than he was in the DOFP stinger for example) and upgrade the look of his followers (they did say that he can increase Mutant's powers if I'm not mistaken).

I agree. I think they probably feel there are too many blue characters already. Nightcrawler, Mystique and Hank (If they do take their true forms) and Apocalypse.

Eh I like that about mutants. If Apocalypse is blue and enhances Angel, he could turn blue similar to how Rogue got Magneto's white hair

Ben getting the role of angel has always puzzled me because he left a British soap to get the role of one of the most well known X-Men characters and that's not something that often happens

I dunno about him becoming a bit movie star but he may appear on the radar for other film projects as a supporting cast member as a starting point

I'm not expecting much from him, especially after finding out that Magneto and Storm are two of the four Horsemen, both of whom I'm sure will be more prominent than the other two. The absence of any images of him, particularly his exclusion in that "Meet the New Mutants" feature in Empire also doesn't assuage my doubts that he'll be significant character (as Cyclops, Jean, Storm, and Nightcrawler are being set up to be) in this film or in future ones. We'll see.
