My vote went to Nova.

I don't care for the new costume, but I'm enjoying the powers that go along with it.

The Rich Rider we're getting here seems to be less of the Vol. 1 and 3 Nova and pushing more towards Vol. 2. Or to be more exact, the Rider right after the Xan/Skull War pre-New Warriors. He's broken and he's tried, but wants revenge more than to go home this time around. Rider's got a bloodlust now and it'll be interesting to see if the new power upgrade won't totally warp his head.

As for the other Annihilation books, they look awesome, but I'm waiting for the trades. Ronan always seemed to have a lot of potential and Super-Skrull is really making fun use of the FF powers.

Never thought I'd like a cosmic Marvel line.

Curiously, I liked the adult Legion better than what was happening before the 5 year gap. Giffen was saddled with the task of fixing Legion history after CoIE and he managed to do it without having to re-boot their whole existence. I liked it even better when there was LoSH and Legionnaires; to me, this was a very cool time for the Legion. But what the heck, I like Sci-Fi so I pretty much bear whatever changes they put the Legion goes through.

As I said, I thought five years later had its moments, but generally I felt LOSH peaked with "Great Darkness". Which was imo greater than Gruenwalds "Squadron Supreme", the only comparable book of that time, which came out slightly later than GDS and it has been downhill ever since for the LOSH.

Damn. Super Skrull became my #1 favorite after reading #2. It was pretty cool. Super Skrull definately more of a badass than anyone else in Annihilation.

Reed said the energy that transformed Galan (whose name has two a's; Waid spelled it wrong) into Galactus would eventually find its way back to him. Presumably something happened that forced Quasar to leave Galan alone and the energy found Galan again. Giffen's masterminding the whole Annihilation thing and he's been pretty good with continuity so far, so I think it'll be explained at some point. Probably by Quasar in Nova's mini, come to think of it.

Didn't Galan step through that transporter machine after he found out what it was he did as Galactus?

Just finished reading the whole series, and my god it was awesome, but it has to be Silver Surfer for me, simply because I love the character and his arc.

But the likes of Super-Skrull (who i only had a passing knowledge about) and Nova and Ronan who I had never even heard of previously, not to mention the always awesome Drax, I have become a BIG fan of. I WILL be reading more of these characters in the future.
