He did that in the comics. it was in the first arc in Punisher WarZone

89 was cheesy, and War Zone was absolute garbage; once I saw a bunch of rastafarian's on a mescaline high jumping from roof top to rooftop, I knew this wasn't going to be the movie for me.

2004 was alright. It was a lot of fun the first time, but subsequent viewings have torn it down a bit.

Funnily enough, I was the opposite with the 2004 movie, I really disliked it first time, but grew to really like it through subsequent viewings.

I really love the '04 movie too. Aside from Travolta I enjoy pretty much everything about the movie, heck, the mowing down of the whole Castle family at the reunion was brutal.

That's a great idea. Maybe it can be done. I'd love for a sequel to the 2005 Punisher game and an animated series like the old Spawn cartoon with Jane voicing Castle and Bradstreet's artwork being brought to life.

that was another idea, that came to mind, whn I was watching the directors cut with the kuwait scene put back in with janes voice work and bradstreets art made for an interesting opening.

I went with the lesser of two evil and chose 2004.

Jane may make Punisher seem weak and too emotional but Ray makes Punisher too old and too violent.

Oh and, Punisher breaking a pencil n his nose for no reason.
Compared to the Russian in '04

Yeah, Jane Punisher > Ray Punisher.

Aesop Rocks, Now that is ridiculous, The Punisher is...Too Violent? That is what Frank Castle is a ruthless killing machine, of criminal scum. Punisher War Zone is definitely the best Punisher film. Castle should be older. he became a one man army, through his experience, as much as on skill. Castle finally wore the body armor and skull from the comics as well. The opening of Punisher War Zone, where he kills around 100 bad guys is epic.

Dolph Lundgren's The Punisher is the 2nd best film in the series. While he doesn't wear the skull, he has all the high powered guns, knives etc, that Castle prefers. Castle crashing through the skylight at the casino, blowing away thugs and their illegal gambling machines is reason enough to enjoy it.

Tom Jane is a solid Frank Castle. He doesn't Punish enough bad guys though. Travolta is horrible as the mob boss, and outside of the execution of Castle's extended family, there is not much to recommend about it.

Yeah, Jane Punisher > Ray Punisher.

He didnt break it in his nose for no reason, in fact the pencil didnt even break, he did it to put his nose back into place after it had been broken, the noise you hear isnt the pencil breaking, but his nose clicking back into place.

How you missed that is beyond me, especially when it took time to show him having difficulty breathing through his nose just before.

How is resetting your nose with a pencil stupid? The story behind that scene is actually true. A guy broke his nose and reset it by placing a pencil up his nostril and twisting.

There are 100's of other things to ***** about PWZ. You're just nit picking on the pencil thing.

Yeah, you know of the many, many stupid things that are in this movie, the pencil bit is not one of them.

Agreed with both of you, its a pretty well known way of re-setting your nose if you dont have the correct tools, when I got my nose broke, I would have done anything to have a pencil in the vacinity!

And of course, Ennis writing the scripts for the episodes.

I thought PWZ was a fun movie, not as good as the 2004 one but very enjoyable and admittedly closer to the comic's origin.

^It was fun, but I can definately see why people didnt like it, it was overly ridiculous a bit too much for me.

I loved the action in the movie and thought it was about time we seen the real Punisher. I liked the over the top stuff.

I'm torn. The Tom Jane one of 2004 was easily the most well made and well rounded. But I felt like I didn't get to actually see Frank Castle on screen until Ray Stevenson played him.

Only problem I had with PWZ was it was a remake again. Should of just had it continue from 04.

I liked the fact they got ride of Jane. He just wasn't Frank to me. I have a problem with the guy playing the Punisher when I look at him and think "I could kick his butt."

There is only one Punisher movie, because anything rated below R does not deserve to be called "Punisher".

Uh...you guys know that all three were rated R right?
