well,for the most part they have these done already....Bruce,Ducard,Gordon,Alfred,Lucius....all they need to do is re-use the Thug mold,and the Scarecrow hands (except Neeson,who can stay gloved).... re-use the Two-Face/Dent tie (molded/painted in specific colors) and the only real new thing they need to make are the heads....

You're absolutely right! Mattel has no excuses now that The dark knight is Matty exclusive. We collectors should be able to get what we want so this definitely does shed some light on the whole "the line will die after these". Mattel has had such huge success with the collector community. Look at DCUC line, Ghostbusters, Masters of the universe, and now The Dark knight. I strongly believe Mattel will go forward with this line as long as their making a buck. And if your a collector like me who just loves the dark knight movie masters line no matter what crap has happened in between then we will buy every figure that is made. Again they already have the basic molds all they need are new hands, shoes, and heads and hopefully some damn accessories for a change. They do the same thing with the DCUC line, ghostbusters and He-man. All Mattel does is sculpt a new head, different paint job to match the character,add some different hands and feet and volia you have a new figure. And collectors eat up those figures when in reality they are just buying the same figure over and over and over again. Of course you have the few acceptions like the build a figure but then again you have to buy the whole wave to get an actual different sculpted figure that you piece together. Its pretty ridiculous but Mattel gets away with it and we continue to buy. Again this was also done with The Secret Wars figures that Mattel release back in i thing 1984 or 85 and they did the same thing. They use the same body just change the head,give the figure a new paint job, new accessories and hands. Its so cost efficient for Mattel its ridiculous! But bottom line is the figures look great and we love to collect them. So in the end, if Mattel does with The Dark Knight movie masters what they do with DCUC, and Ghostbusters and He-man then the line could go on for quite some time and into different films as well.

The other day I was at K-Mart and they had a good number of basic TDK toys in stock. Nothing from MM but they did have a lot of the basic figures. Good to see some retailers are still carrying them.

Are the Two-Face and jail cell Joker coming out or not? First they say it's canceled, then they say it's a go again, then it's only for a limited amount of time or something, now they're not saying anything. Can someone please tell what is going on? The hype is dead, no on even cares anymore. It's pointless to keep holding back like this.

Im sure Mattel will post news come the week of the 7th. Bank robber joker will be the first figure released on September 15th and there after on every 15th of the month we will get a new figure all the way up to March 15th which will be two-face. So they start the wave with Bank Robber Joker and end it with Two-Face. Not bad if you ask me.

the collectors here have been wanting an alfred and fox, but the didnt have a freaking fight scene, they never fired a gun! i think the only characters who should get fig are the ones who actually contribute to the actio, though thats just my opinion, not saying anything cloes to the amnner that anti topher veno people do

well,it's not in the news section,but they finally put a little blurb up on mattycollector.com about them...you have to go into TDK section,and there's like 2 paragraphs there,but the last sentence of the 2nd paragraph states that there will be new figures every month starting in September 2009....

they really aren't even advertising these at all...though that may be good for us....

Everything I've read suggests the same - $28 shipped...or just over 2X original retail.

Considering I never paid shipping on the others, and the time I spent driving/searching (during a stretch when ga$ was outrageous) the price is not completely ridiculous - but it's close.
My compulsive side drives me to collect them all, but my wallet will keep me selective....both Jokers and Two-Face.

I hear ya man. The compulsive collector side of me definitely wants to by multiples of two face, both jokers and proto suit bats but my wallet is telling me no. And if they are 28$ a piece then i will defenitely only be getting 2 of each. One for display and one to keep sealed.
