Better Class Of Toyline (Official: Movie Masters Thread)

Well, at least they are finally going to start releasing these. We'll see if they keep it up.

If anyone is interested, Im selling my MM collection. Also some other stuff from my collection. Im getting out of it. 23 years of serious collecting is a long time. Its time to move on. This is just phase one of my clear out.

Jesus Mattel is STUPID. Now I gotta order them online. Christ it would've been nice to just pick 'em up at Wal-Mart or something. Like I did with the originals. (Excluding The Joker, a user on here sent that to me).

I swear to god these better be worth it.

I for one dont think there worth it any more... Not since Hottoys entered in for me thats all I need... I have a Joker, Thug , Scarecrow and Dark Knight Batman form Movie Masters and thats all I need form them... They are going for 20 a pop online form what I hear so they are not worth it in any way shape or form...

Have you been living under a rock Shadow-Guardian? This has been news for months now that they would be mattycollector.com exclusives. If you dont want them hottoyzjoker then that makes it easier for the rest of us to get em.
 
Not all of us keep tabs on batman toys 24/7, pal. So excuse the crap outta me for not knowing. See, I actually go OUTSIDE and buy my stuff. Shocking I know.

Plus all the others were in stores, why not these?
 
Because the Matty finally figured out people were stupid enough to pay $20 a pop for a cheap plastic toy.

And as was suggested earlier, they will not have to produce as much as they did with the other figures, nor will they have to sell them to distribution companies/stores, thus with all of these factors, will make far more profit.

Trust me, they aren't doing it for the collector's...

And from what I've heard, expect to pay anywhere from $5-8 for SHIPPING alone...
 
Wow. Thats like $25-28 for a f***ing platic toy. Jesus christ.

What is wrong with these people? I bought my other MMs at Wal-Mart for like $9.
 
they are cheaper than a 200 dollar ****ing hot toys thign, and smaller an deaseier to store and to, im good with these, but i am limiting wat i get, i find it worth it, butthats just me, and i go out, and i ave a lif, and i still kept tabs on these

There's a reason HT stuff is more expensive, to compare the two is ridiculous, they're two entirely different entities. Compare MM's to a similar product, i.e. a six inch tall plastic action figure of equal quality, and they are way overpriced, by about 10-15 bucks.
BTW, the average cost of a HT TDK figure is $140, not $200.And worth every penny, unlike the MM's.

Hey its like I said I bought most of the first wave of the movie masters... I also picked up Hottoys TwoFace Bank Robber Joker DX Joker DX Batman and V1 Joker... I have TwoFace and Bank Robber Joker right now... Both cost about 165 a piece and are amazing pieces... Now getting back to why I think the Movie Masters have become rip offs now... Your final total if bought the whole set and Im just estimating here would be about the same as one of Hottoys... Cant tell me it worth it...

I'm only gonna get Bank Robber Joker and Jail Cell Joker and Two-Face. Rest are crap and so not worth my $25. Battle damaged Batman? Come on man. If I wanted a white eyes Batman, I'd paint it for christ sake. Why would I pay for something that I already have, AND got WAY less money for, for white eyes and a few scratches on the shoulders and knee, which ruins the figure anyway? I really wish we had a middle finger smiley, so I could direct it at Mattel. And Matty.

I completely agree with you Shadow-Guardian. Two-face, jail cell joker and bank robber joker. You would think that Mattel would have priced them right around $14.99 atleast to be closer to the retail price when they originally came out. Oh and sorry about that comment earlier about living under a rock. I just figured everyone had been reading this damn blog like me all the time for updates lol. Didnt mean any disrespect man. Arkhum scarecrow, and sonar bats are by far the worst of the bunch. However i am looking forward to Harvey Dent because he was going to be the chase of the set and would have been extremely hard to find, and Proto suit bats is cool as well. Mattel feels as though they do us a favor by charging $8.50 shipping and then they combine shipping if you order more than 1. They should drop the total price if you order more in my opinion.

Protobats is okay, but it looks kinda like the hobo version of Batman. So eh. Might get it for custom fodder.

I seriously laughed my ass off at "battle damaged" bats. Seriously, it's got white eyes, and a few scratches. OH BOY! I COULDN'T POSSIBLY LIVE WITHOUT IT!!111

The scratches ruin the damn figure. They look so stupid. I could go to Wal-Mart, buy me a normal TDK bats, paint the eyes white, and boom, sonar bats for like $9. And it's better than that battle damaged garbage that they have the balls to charge $25 for. Urgh, I want a middle finger smiley so bad.
 
I dont know why anyone else has said this but Mattels Sonar Batman eyes = white... Batman in the Dark Knight eyes = BLUE what was Mattel thinking there??? Harvey Dent may look like trash in the Mattel line but hes a stunner in the Hottoys line...

Screw Mattel. Seriously, I hate the idea that these things are $20 a piece and I hate that they're $8 shipped but I bit the bullet anyhow and what happens? My order's shipping method switches to overnight so now I'm dropping $52 on this crap? I looked up their customer serve stuff and not only can you not contact and change shipping methods but you cant cancel orders either.
