Beware the Batman - Part 1

I love this shows take on Magpie. She's such a cool/fun/creepy villain. I'd love for her to be reintroduced in the New 52 comics based off of this version. The show is good, but CN has proven that they simply don't support DC shows unless their purely "comedic" like Teen Titans Go! BTW, that show is no funny.

I'd love to see this version in the comics as well, but considering the crapfest that is the New 52, I think I'm OK with her not appearing in it. They'd probably kill her in her intro issue for shock value. :oldrazz:

As for TTGo!, I can't say that its jokes are funny, but it does have some great background gags, like the bat-archives in the Batcave, for instance.

So...no one caught the two new episodes?

they ARE available as of the last couple of days, if you look around online, if you get my drift... they're out there... gonna be checkin' 'em out myself today...

I did... thought they were fantastic. Man, this show has a dark and brutal edge to it. Bet you love that, Cartoon Network? :woot:

''Attraction'' was pretty intense and I enjoyed Batman concern for the villians after he takes them down. The need to save everybody goes beyond just the villians of Gotham.Magpie was even crazier than in her debut episode and Grey Delisle clearly had alot of fun voicing her.

Quick question: Batman is friendly with the Warden and guards of Blackgate? Have I missed something here?

''Fall'' was truly great and definitely worth the wait. I won't say to much as I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it yet, but it's action-packed, emotional, thought-provoking and status-quo changing just enough to leave us wondering how the back half of this season will progress.

I worry for our three heroes and where there relationships will end up.

Ra's Al Ghul was handled quite well. The voices always takes a bit of getting used to. (David Warner is ingrained in my mind) but hopefully he surpasses Anarky as the true big bad of this series.

So yeah, a great batch of episodes and an excellent way to cap off the first half of the season. A shame we have to watch them knowing the show is doomed. :csad:

i really wish Nick would pick up this series and show it along with TMNT

Just saw the last two episodes.

Magpie is still fun to watch. I thought they were going to set up Arkham with this.

I'm so used to this bald Alfred, I chuckled when I saw him with hair. Ra's was a beast!

Wait...there are new episodes?! They didn't air on TV, did they?

Nope. They're part of the DVD that just came out. So, they're of course online if you look around.

Seriously...

Quick question: Batman is suddenly friendly with the Warden and guards of Blackgate? Have I missed something here?

I don't know. DC/WB could potentially have as many as 8 live-action shows based on their comic properties on-air next TV season.

Yeah but Marvel already has like six in development too.

I'm pretty sure it was never shown that he was on good terms with those guys.

It's sold out in Amazon.com so i'm waiting for my shipment to even get dispatched.

The Blu-Ray was never actually in stock on Amazon.com. It take them a while to get these Warner Archive titles in stock.

The same thing happened with Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

I got my Brave and Bold blu-ray immediately, shame this happened for Beware the Batman. I was hoping this was good news regarding the sales.

Hope they announce GLTAS Blu-ray(s) soon.

Saw the last two eps. Interesting take of the Alfred/Young Bruce dynamic

I loved how "Fall" brought back a lot of the themes and moments explored throughout the season. Not just the plot with the League of Assassins and Tatsu's kiss, but also Alfred's burglary simulation, Batman's "limits", Alfred's stance on keeping secrets, how he knew about the Soultaker Sword and Ra's, Anarky's line about sharing the same goal as Ra's, etc.

So this show was cancelled right? Time for WB to move their toons to another network.

Blu-ray of part 2 will come out first. :b

I gotta tell ya, this show looks like crap. Storywise it is as decent as BTAS, but when it comes to looks, it simply sucks. Not so much the characters, but the city is soulless. It almost looks like unfinished art or something.

I think the emptiness and cleanliness of the city actually makes it creepier. You have a place that COULD be like Metropolis: clean, pristine, and advanced. But Gotham's subtle evil keeps it dead and eerie. There's just something that keeps its people from going outside.

Besides, let's not pretend that any of the traditionally animated shows don't have empty streets and animation mistakes/short-cuts.

The next Batman series will come out first.

"Superman VS Batman" will come out first

:whatever:

Seriously you just know there will be a tie-in cartoon where Superman and Batman have to work together.

Obviously there will be guest appearances like "Ultimate Spider-man"

Ninja Turtles- Where's all the people in New York?

Transformers:Prime-Granted they were in a desert town but even then where were the people when Megatron attacked it?

Beware The batman-Barely any cars and people on the street.

With this type of CGI cartoon it cost ALOT to render random things.
