Beware the Batman - Part 1

I'd have to see how it ends before I decide to mourn it. If it ends well and has a conclusion with most of their story and character arcs, I'd be fine. If there's promise of greater things, then yeah, I'd be bummed.

and for those not in New Zealand or not able to view the remaining episodes thru another source, and are waiting on US Cartoon Network, the wait goes on...

“Beware The Batman” Absent From Cartoon Network April 2014 Programming Schedule

March 28, 2014 by Jim Harvey

Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest website with programming details for the month of April 2014, and once again, new episodes of Beware The Batman are not included on the schedule. The CG-animated series was removed from Cartoon Network back in October 2013, marking seven months since an episode aired on the US channel. Despite repeated inquiries, Cartoon Network has still not provided any details for Beware The Batman‘s removal from the schedule. Beware The Batman originally aired Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10:00am (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network as part of the hour-long DC Nation programming block, but has since been replaced with back-to-back Teen Titans Go! repeats. When recently asked again for a statement on the status of Beware The Batman, a representative for Cartoon Network would only say that there are future plans for the series but no specifics could be provided at this time.

While the remaining fifteen Beware The Batman episodes from the series’ first season currently remain unscheduled on Cartoon Network, two unaired episodes were included on the recent Beware The Batman – Season One, Part One: Shadows of Gotham DVD and Blu-ray release – “Attraction” and “Fall.” Details and a complete review of the Beware The Batman – Season One, Part One: Shadows of Gotham release, which collects the first thirteen episodes of the CG cartoon, is available at the World's Finest website. A second Beware The Batman home video release is expected within the next twelve-month period.

Please note that Beware The Batman still currently airs on Cartoon Network Canada, and it slated to debut the episode “Attraction” on Saturday, March 29th, 2014 at 8:00pm (ET), with the episode “Fall” airing the following Saturday, April 5th, 2014, at 8:00pm (ET). The series no longer airs on Teletoon, the Canadian network which shares programming with Cartoon Network. New episodes of Beware The Batman have also debuted in some other international markets, including New Zealand.

Lets hope its been cancelled, it was sooooo bad, compared to Young Justice, this was a very poor replacement.

I'm going to go into a thread of a series you enjoy and hope they cancel it because I have nothing more constructive to say than it sucks.

Did they release the remaining eps on DVD?

Well it's still going on in one part of the world so a DVD release would seem odd

Probably after the last 13 episodes have finished airing then they'll release the last half

What part of the world is still airing?

Actually, New Zealand just stopped airing new episodes. "Monsters" is the last one for the moment.

Of course, Canada could pick up the slack since they're resuming from "Attraction", but we'll see.

if they're going to end it, at least end on a high note. The last few episodes have been the series best!

Indeed. I especially like how the second story arc of the season has been more character-driven. The first one was enjoyable and had an epic finale, but it did feel a bit too driven by McGuffins with the Ion Cortex and the Soultaker Sword.

Hoping that we'll get to see the last set of episodes. I mean, they had already completed them. It's stupid move to not release them. Just put another dvd set out to finish it.

They will. Just give them some time.

I'd say September at the latest.

C'mon. Let's kickstart this short as a series!

That was mediocore, hope the next ones are better.

it was nothing special. If it wasn't Bruce Timm, people would be like "ok whatever".

I liked the short, but yeah. I can think of 5 other shorts that deserve a whole show before this one.

Chinese Batman short was awesomesauce.

Also, that version of Batman wouldn't have lend itself to a TV show based on what Timm said.
