Beware the Batman - Part 1

Shocking that a Batman show has been written off financially. In fact, no DC cartoon has ever been treated this poorly.

This show deserved better. Oh well, I have the new DVD AND Blu-ray set ordered.
It is pretty sad what happened to this show. People didn't really give it a chance and that was it. It strived to be something different, and it was. I warmed up to it, and wish it was being renewed. But alas...

Cartoon Network have now written the show off financially and want it gone, gone, GONE from their networks.

:wall:

THAT'S IT! I think I'm going to write off CN. They've always treated this show (as well as previous DC animated shows) like crap, with the long hiatuses, 2:30am time slots etc. I've been digging this show and trying to catch new eps has been frustrating. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to watch the remaining 7 episodes.

Just got the bluray I'm just happy I can finish the season finally so far so good.

I really liked the show's Deathstroke and the way he was connected to Gotham. Really would have liked a season two. Anarky and Two-Face we're disappointing, but i did like that Two-Face was anti-Batman, because the freaks ruled Gotham much faster than on other incarnations.

Anarky just plain stank.

I was disappointed with the DVD. I was already expecting a barebones release, but did they have to replace the show's music in the menu with generic action scores?

I never thought of this show's Harvey as an anti-Batman. Interesting.

Yes, Anarky was useless from beginning to end.

Sadly, I have to agree about Anarky. The producers hyped him up as Batman biggest threat, effectively his moriarty in this series, but he was incredibly bland and uninspiring.

Certainly a shame, as he was one of the key elements I was looking forward to the most.

The trade paperback of the comic tie-in comes out today, and I wrote a review for it. This is pretty much the show's last release, unless they decided to do a soundtrack or something.

Crossing my fingers for a soundtrack release from La La Land Records.

I still can't get over how bad this show was treated. Oh well, perhaps more people will appreciate it in time.
