black panther tas

I don't know. This is BET we're talking about. I haven't associated them with quality programming since the 90s.

You're just playing right? You actually think BET will place women dancing around in the show?

I'm being facetious.

And yet... BET Uncut

I wasn't particularly interested until I read this part:

"the series will be using many of artist John Romita Jr's designs"

I'll at least give it a couple episodes if it's based on JRJr's work.

I try to forget that JR Jr. was ever involved in Hudlin's BP series. :(

Let's see...
I refuse to watch BET. Hudlin's Black Panther is bad. Oh, and Hudlin is in charge of BET.

Pass.

I don't have that American channel,so I'm out also. I have a feeling that the character will be "urbanized" and there will be things that are lost..

I don't think that just because it is going to be on BET that it will be urbanized.
I think the whole point of the character is that he is an African King.
I think Hudlin will respect the character and stay faithful to its comic roots, especially since he has written him in the past and beacuse Marvel has final say probably.

I too have faith but am nervous. I will know how to feel once I see some production art.

Or it can look like **** and still be good, like Spectacular Spider-Man.

If they're truly basing this on the JRJr designs, that's unpossible.

True. I'd be really, really excited if only the press release said "based on Christopher Priest's run" instead of "based on BET Vice President Reginald Hudlin's run." :(

T'Challa doesn't talk like that in Hudlin's run, does he? Please tell me he doesn't suck that much.

He said it once, people are always defending it saying it was a joke, it was a House of M issue etc. ect. he still made those words come out of T'Challa's mouth.

I can see the episode descriptions already.

"Wakanda has always been top dawg when it comes to vibranium, but there's a new girl in town ready to take over the market. Queen Latifah guest stars."

"T'Challa heads to New York as nations around the world meet at the UN over the vibranium crisis, but all work and no play make T'Challa a dull boy. Black panther hits the streets! Guest starring Sean "P. Diddy" Combs."
