Cap is perfect tactically. Every time. I consider it to be his most significant superpower. Always the right move.

And keep in mind that mcu cap is unambiguously superhuman in all his physical atributes including his brain. Hes not merely "peak human" like the comics.
Hand to hand without suits or weapons, cap wins. Eventually.

Plus cap, like Kilmonger, has vast combat experience . And theyve both killed a ton of people in the process. BP doesnt have this experience.

Given Erics motivation level and the fact that hed been planning for that one fight for 20 years, its no surprise he bested t'challa.

I don't see Killmonger really beating T'Challa at the Warrior Fall; T'Challa was conflicted and emotional after he learned about Killmonger's story from Zuri, and during the fight when he cut Killmonger's face, you can clearly see some hesitation, because T'Challa wasn't really trying to win the fight at all cost. On the other hand, Killmonger was relentless and had his eyes on the prize, so he was on Kill Mode all the time. Later, when they had a second fight in the Mine, T'Challa was able to defeat him. That tells me T'Challa is actually the better fighter between the two, even though Killmonger had trained his whole life for it.

T'Challa made "one good move" that Kilmonger even paid respect to...I thought the fight was fairly even...could have gone either way. If anything, I give the edge to T'Challa because he did appear more engaged in the seriousness of the situation, more so than before.

Hmmm...can you elaborate more?

Look at the page when it mentions the Soul Stone here. Those are the planets Jupiter and Saturn. Titan is a moon of Saturn. I don't think this is unintentional.

Killmonger has almost consistently been considered to be T'Challa's equal, if not superior, in a fight.

I will say that I don't think T'Challa's head was totally in their fight at Warrior's Falls. Even the 2nd fight took place in an uneven terrain with multiple variables and the two essentially fought to a standstill until Erik brought the blade into the equation.

I think T'Challa and Steve, with no weapons/suits, fight to a standstill too. Steve is a tactician, yes, but T'Challa is as well. Neither individual gets tired and their strength levels are about equal.

It would be a tie or require some outside variable to decide it.

Let's be honest though, it was inevitably happening that way. Captain Marvel also will deal with alien races and likely space battles, so very possible the conclusion of Captain Marvel is off Earth/Soul Stone ends up off Earth as a result.

The tie-in comic seems to hint that it is on Titan potentially. So it may still not be on Earth come IW.

The risk was always large, but it's not like there isn't lots opportunities to do it another way. You could easily have a stone that's not dealt with in any of the solo films, so you'd be free to do whatever you want with it in the two Avengers films.

In the end it's not a big deal if they do it well, which I think they will, but in that case I hope there's some explanation, or at least speculation, on why Earth is such a hot spot.

They sort of hinted already that the stones want to be together, but I am sure the will make some mention of this in more detail.

Ok, I see what you are suggesting; however, I see nothing that implies one of those celestial bodies is Titan. Titan is the largest moon of Saturn; yet, still smaller than Mars. It orbits Saturn obviously...So why include Jupiter in that vicinity? Jupiter has its own system. Could that panel be suggesting another worldm

I dont completely disagree, but kilmonger had virtually zero experience with the bp suit as well as the powers of the heart shaped herb. He was a total newbie as a panther. So in that fight eric had the disadvantage.

I guess we needed a 3rd fight to settle this. O well.

Honestly, I just think they did it to make it more clear we're looking at a picture of Saturn, LOL! While Titan is not shown in this picture itself, the fact we're looking at Saturn I think is a subtle hint without spelling it out. Also, Thanos is called The Mad Titan. Good way to bring his world into the mix.

I'm not sure the powers of the heart shaped herb necessarily need mastering. You pretty much get all your existing abilities amped up to super human levels i.e. if you're already strong, you'll be SUPER strong.

Erik was already an uber-capable fighter. The herb just made him significantly more than he already was.

T'Challa in the 2nd fight had the greatest power of all: the Power of the Protagonist. No power is stronger.

Am I the only one that liked Black Panther outfit that T'Chaka had better than either the CW or updated versions for T'Challa?

I'm a big for a of the all black and gold trim.

I actually want a movie based on T’Chaka so we can see his suit in action.

While i wait for my copy of the art o f book i wonder what other directors version of wakanda might have looked like. Say what the russos wakanda might look like. Would they have gone for something more startreky but with afrofuturistic elements in it more obvious straight on hi tech and less ancient civilization/meets future take if you will. I hope theres some alternate takes in the book to see and compare. I love what they did with wakanda in the movie. And we still havent seen half of it really.
We havent seen what the inside architecture of the two big towers (capitol buildings/ palace) looks like. We have only seen the throne room iam sure they have a huge armory maybe in a huge hangar full with weapons vehicles we havent seen. The sequel can expand a lot on this. Maybe show us a hall with past bp suits of the old panthers encased in glass. A mural room a la rivendell depecting past battles of other bp fighting off would be conquerors, sort of a wakanda history hall/ museum of sorts. A war room withbhuge screens and a massive sand hologram table for battle planning.witj potentially a bigger budget the sequel could give us some of this things.

‘Black Panther’ Box Office Passes ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to Land at #9 on All-Time List

In case you were wondering, Black Panther is still absolutely destroying at the box office. The Marvel Studios film got more than a couple shoutouts at the Oscars ceremony on Sunday and for good reason: ABC no doubt hopes the Academy sparks to this worldwide phenomenon in the wake of record-low ratings for the Oscars telecast. While that’s a ways off and Black Panther is far from an awards season sure thing, the film is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office.

Yesterday saw Black Panther’s domestic box office total hit $506.4 million, passing the live-action Beauty and the Beast’s $504 million to take the #9 slot on the all-time domestic chart. It now seems entirely possible that the film could overtake the domestic grosses of Rogue One and The Dark Knight to potentially nab the #7 slot on the list, and could it possibly go as high as $623 million to become the highest-grossing Marvel movie of all time?

For reference, here’s the list of the Top 10 domestic box office grosses of all time:

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens – $934.6 million

2. Avatar – $760.5 million

3. Titanic – $659.4 million

4. Jurassic World – $652.3 million

5. Marvel’s The Avengers – $623.4 million

6. Star Wars: The Last Jedi – $619.1 million

7. The Dark Knight – $534.9 million

8. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – $532.2 million

9. Black Panther – $506.4 million

10. Beauty and the Beast (2017) – $504 million

On the world’s stage, Black Panther also continues to soar. With a worldwide gross of $909.8 million, the film has now surpassed the worldwide grosses of Thor: Ragnarok ($854M), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($864M), Batman vs Superman ($874M), Spider-Man: Homecoming ($880M) and Spider-Man 3 ($891M). That puts it in the #46 position, but with a China opening set for this weekend and a lot of leg room to go, expect the film to crack $1 billion in short order.

What’s the limit on this thing? Place your bets in the comments below!

No matter how evenly two people are matched physically...when one person enters a fight with the intention to get the opponent to yield....and the other enters with the sole idea of killing the other one....it creates an imbalance.

So it looks like China is going to be a non factor in the box office for this movie as it approaches $1B.

Totally agree. This and T'Challa being "off" due to all the revelations dropped at his feet led to him being beaten.

I wouldn't exactly say non factor. Supposedly China has presales of 70 something million. It has about 100 mil to go to reach a billion, so...

I think he/she meant that BP doesn't need China to reach a billion.
