Can you give us your top 5 MCU or even top 5 CBMs pls?

Thanks.

Black Panther
The Avengers
Thor: Ragnarok
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy

I don’t know if this would be a spoiler, but does anyone know if there was a new Marvel Studios logo in front of Black Panther? No one has really talked about it which I’m assuming maybe it’s a spoiler?
Nope, same logo.

Does T'Challa get a great showing in the film as far as abilities and prowess goes?

Same old expect for the redistribution of kinetic energy

Kingdork,

Would you say the action is good? Does it look more like the action in TWS (intense hand-to-hand combat) or more like other MCU films? I don't expect any ground-breaking action scenes, but are they interesting and fun to watch at least?

Thanks.

@KingDork

Would you say BP is powered up enough or powered up too much?

From the trailers and TV spots it seemed he has way more abilities/gadgets than I ever would've expected or preferred.

I haven't seen it, but the one thing I'm looking forward to is the prolonged camera shots during fights - which Coogler prefers over quick cuts. You can easily witness it in the clip that was released of them in the South Korean casino.

The action is good and enjoyable. [BLACKOUT]There's one Kingsman-like continuous shot but frankly The Golden Circle really killed that effect for me. It's not impressive anymore, but it's fine here.[/BLACKOUT]
[BLACKOUT]
Black Panther is a bit more powerful in here, because he's fighting normal people as opposed as other super-heroes this time around, but it's basically the same + that redistribution of energy thing[/BLACKOUT]

Comment makes no sense. You just want Black panther to be weak so you feel better about yourself. Black panther has always been this powerful. They made BP less powerful in CACW.

Same taste as me then

Civil War is my current favourite so replacing BP till I see it would make up my exact top 5.

To feel better about myself? Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuut?

Someone takes this movie a little too seriously.

Nice try, you're taking this seriously. You keep say BP is to powerful in his own film and knew nothing about Black panther IN THE CANON COMICS, but if it's Thor, Cap or Iron-man you would be crying they are to weak. He's clearly much more powerful in this one. With his new suit Iron-man and Cap would not be able to do anything to him.

Nah, your vision of BP is underpowered.

Think about it, physically BP is Cap but he wears an Iron Man suit.

I'm not taking anything too seriously.

It's clear you can't be an adult about this so go waste somebody else's time.

In the original comics (FF) BP wasn't really super powered as much as he was intelligent and clever. He defeated the FF one by one by using his wits rather than his strength (which while considerable, I don't recall it being quite to the level of CA:CW). That may have changed in later comics and I don't have a problem with them making BP more powerful. Hell, Cap threw a frelling motorcycle he was riding on.....I don't even think that could be done, but I was okay with it.

how popular was Black Panther in the comics a few years ago and how big of a boost do you believe the film will do for his popularity? Will tons of people rush to buy his comics or push him to the top 10/12 of comic heroes today?

Err. Seems a little unfounded. He just might be, but with three movies under his belt it's a pretty premature thing to say, we have no idea. I'm not even particularly hot on Nolan's stuff aside from The Prestige and Memento as being all that amazing, but Coogler's still clearly pretty green, he hasn't reached Nolan proficiency yet.

Coogler has done quite well for himself after 3 films. I don't recall if Batman Begins was his 3rd or 4th film (for Nolan). But if Coogler can somehow gravitate his success toward his, then all is good in our world.

Black panther was super powered and super smart from 1966 to now. They just added the new suit in 1998. Always funny seeing people who don't read comics.

Honestly, the reviews I've seen makes me wonder about the hype. People saying The Black Panther himself has a limited role and that it's all about how sterling the supporting cast turned out to be.

It seems like all the women can do no wrong and are beyond reproach. Having a 16 year old girl be "the smartest person in the MCU and way smarter than Tony Stark" SCREAMS one note SJW BS to me if I'm being honest. And anyone doubting a SJW element simply aren't facing what's being said in part. This review from a "family" site (Movieguide) has me wondering about what is actually hitting the screen...

"the plot gets a little too complicated, unfocused and talky, with too many characters, a few annoying politically correct canards..."

"On the negative side, BLACK PANTHER has a light romantic worldview with some politically correct content, including some revisionist history. For example, there’s a lot of talk about how oppressed black people are around the world. The movie blames this all on white European colonists, mostly because of slavery, but fails to mention that it was the Muslims who brought widespread slavery to Africa and that many Africans sold their brothers and sisters to the slave traders. There are also some comments about the allegedly bad social conditions in the United States, when, in fact, the social conditions in the U.S. are far better than the social conditions in other parts of the world, including many (if not most) African countries run by Africans today."

>>>>

"Dominant Worldview and Other Worldview Content/Elements:*Light Romantic, politically correct, liberal worldview with some Afrocentric revisionist history blaming mostly European whites for colonialism, mistreatment and many of the world’s ills, plus some feminist aspects and some overt ancestor worship/consultation..."

Don't get me wrong, I will be there with a large crowd of friends and family paying to see this film but I'm starting to wonder about certain aspects of this movie.

Oh noes! Not feminist aspects! Anything but that! :lmao:

Seriously this ‘review’ makes me even more excited to see the movie.

The movie doesn't. The bad guy does. And he's the one that needs to be stopped. So there you go.

Using SJW unironically doesn't really work in spaces other than the extreme, lunatic fringes like 4chan or r/thedonald. He is gonna have to try harder.

No one wants your trolling here. This is for fans.

It's no bad guy in the film but Klaw. Ryan and Chad has said this many times.
