Borat movie gets number of theatres cut due to Middle America

Getting 100% on RottenTomatoes and every critic still says it's the most offensive yet funniest thing ever.

Correction: was getting.

Indeed...been awhile. I'm always lurking around here...just don't post all that much. :) :hyper:
Good to see you, man
I don't even know if there's a theater carrying it here:cmad:

[Hollywood exec] Damn those parts of America that aren't New York or L.A.! They just don't understand anything! [/Hollywood exec]

^Well, we are the flyover states. :o I remember one episode of the now defunct Unhappily Ever After sitcom where the parents are helping their son name all the states, and they can easily name New York and California, but the son is like, "what's all that in the middle?" And the mom responds, "the reason Touched By An Angel is a hit." :p

i must be the only one who doesnt like the character, ali G i could stand cause I knew morons who tryed to act like him, borat i never got

Quite honestly, I live in DC, and I've not heard of it until now, so I don't know how enormous pre-release publicity and marketing could have been.

Really? I've seen a few promo spots for it.

The first 4 minutes I watched on youtube today it was nice.

Well, Middle America has a reputation of being stubborn-headed rednecks with very simple worldviews. Not saying that this is necessarily true, but that is how they are viewed.

^You say that like you don't live somewhere between the two coasts. ;)

I think the L.A types think we're too busy driving our kids to soccer practice, mowing our lawns, and telling our neighbor Bob how we came in under par at the local country club.

I say they're lucky. The previews of that movie only make it look insanely ******ed.
