Boston Marathon Terror Attack - Part 3

While tragic that he lost his life, misidentifying him didn't get him killed.

As others have said here, I feel really bad for his family just because first he was missing, then he was suddenly considered to be a terrorist, and finally he was confirmed to be uninvolved and dead.

The mother is comically insane. She thinks the video of the naked bystander was her son. For all her "I am mother, I know my sons", she can't recognize ****.

Well CNN is reporting that Russia warned them about the mother as well.

I heard someone mention this earlier, but it is strange that the parents fled from the country as refugee, but eventually went back to live there. It just makes you wonder what were they running from and what happened to it.

Also, just to update the story about the college students that were taken into custody friday night, it is being reported that they were friends of the younger brother and one of them shared a phone with him. They are foreign exchange students and this caused a frenzy because they were tracking the number and thought the brother was using it to contact his birth land.

I was wondering about this. I remember the reports and nothing came of it. Good to know that was sorted out though.

It almost sounds like Russia didn't want to get involved in something that may have proved their suspicions wrong. Either that, or they didn't trust us with the information or reasons for interest in the brother.
I think this is most likely.

Russians probably have contacts or spies in chechnya terrorist gruops and didn't want to perhaps put them at risk by telling the U.S their sources.

I have a feeling that there is more to this story then we realize, especially their ties with Russia or their homeland.

As usual people are leaving out facts, on both sides.

Then why are we wasting money with a trial? sigh

Every criminal has a right to a trial. People who have even killed more individuals than this kid has still get a trial. It's more important as a society to uphold our justice system ubiquitously than to make an exception out of outrage.

God I hate their mother. First she denies there was even an explosion, claiming the blood was paint. Then I find out she can't come back to the country because she's wanted on grand theft felony charges. Now I hear she discussed "jihad" with her kids in 2011. What a rotten family.

Living in a war torn country can make you do things you never thought you would. :(

You mean be an epic *****ebag? I'm sorry that's no excuse. She stole stuff from a country kind enough to take her in as a refugee and give her opportunities she never had in her home-country. She then talks smack about it and discusses jihad with her kids. No. She's an insult to every person or refugee who does endure great struggles and emerges from them with their grace and dignity intact.

That's a cop out response.
why so? Living in fear that the guy next to you can suddenly turn on you for having a different religion, being so defensive all the time can make certain people do things in a knee jerk reaction that are not wise. I think jihadists take advantage of such broken people, whispering lies and empty promises. I am sure it happens a lot.

It makes you wonder if there's more to her than what's out there, especially after some of those reports from earlier in the week that said the FBI were warned about her as well as the older son.

i agree that she should have been more grateful, but some people can never be happy no matter how good they have it. Maybe she is one of them. She seemed like an angry person.

Tamerlan (the older brother) attended a progressive international school in Cambridge. He wanted for nothing. His uncle (the only sane one in the family) had it right; he did this because he's a loser. There's no climbing out of poverty in his backstory, or being brainwashed in some secret American madrassa. Simply put, he's just a bitter loser who doesn't know how to communicate with his new countrymen so he'd rather blow them up.

I would assume there is. Plus I don't think all people are either all good or all bad. Broken people do stupid things because they don't think rationally all the time.

Yes. She's an angry, *****y jihadi sympathizer.

Charles Manson chose smart people from good homes, finding creative ways to sucker them in. I do wonder about this Misha person. The moms aid he opened their eyes to "trueIslam". I think this guy found some nominal Muslims that he could tell a distorted truth to, just like David Koresh did to his own followers, getting them to do things they never would have otherwise.

This is what baffles me about both brothers, because they looked to be so well off, yet they did something stupid and lost it all. You never expect people who have things fairly well to go out and do something like this.
