the butch look was horrible though... about as bad as kitty's look back then too.

i do wish marvel would define characters ages though... i hate how all of a sudden Peter's back to being 25... lame

Well, I'm not suggesting she return to leather and spikes either. A happy medium would be nice. Something that makes her look feminine but not ****ty. Hell, just put her in her mom's green Phoenix costume.

if shes in her early 20's i dont mind the hoop earings and modified momma's marvel girl costume... (minus the hideous shades she sported at one point) but her new outfit is tooooo hoochie regardless of age

She may have been de-aged somehow. She grew old in Cable's time as Mother Askani, but she somehow returned to her normal age later. Maybe she actually became younger then.

it'd make more sense then the BND fiasco

And Reed Richards fought in WWII.

Seriously, age is the last thing you should concern yourself with in the Marvel universe.

Bummer. Granted, with CA #34, I suppose it is understandable. Still, go nab A:TI. It was good.

Unless the death of C-Listers with potential annoys you, then it might get on your bad side for a page or two.

Oh, I'm def pickin it up. I just didn't see it at my shop. Maybe I'll try another one

well.... blackwidow did too...

but marvel has an interesting timeline... see i look at it as time moves faster/slower at the same time. see historical events, wars, technology move fast... but the amount of years is actually very long. I did the math once, and in marvel time peter should be about 29... according to the new logic Gwen died only about 4-5 years ago...

Marvel under Joey Q's rule tends to not understand how to "fix whats broken" instead they say... "lets just get a new one". Which i find sad, because good writing could have easily fixed 100 mistakes. Let your characters grow.. don't revert them back to the "good old days" those days are over, create new ones.. not a stale idea

I would disagree with your initial comment... a lot of Marvel's books are better under his tenure and that's been with making things better with good writing... and while OMD was absolutely terrible, the new books have been feeling like good old fashioned Spidey stories with some 21st century grit... the first part of BND may have felt like an older Spidey book, but it certainly didn't read like one... it was fresh and full of 100% Spidey gold.

But hey... that's just my two cents...

:yay:

sorry, but it seems like all joey q wants to do is A) shake up.. everything and break it.. or B) he wants to take whats broken and throw it back in the silver age.

BND has bored me... its evolution backwards. when they could have easily kept him married, kept him as a teacher, and just ditched the unmasking and added the supporting cast back.

Its just been one big event after the other with marvel as of lately.. sure its spun off some great, fresh, new stories and ideas which i do enjoy... Young Avengers, New X-men, Massiah complex, X-factor, Captain America... but at the same time he's either stunning growth of the classics or breaking all we know to make them something were completely unfamiliar with.

if i wanted silver age spidey.. ill read silver age comics. nothing wrong with letting the guy age a little... especially when 80% of the other characters in the marvel universe seem to.

Seriously, how many times are Tony or Carol going to let the New Avengers go free?

umm, it's only been once really. They escaped the last time thanks to Doc Strange giving everybody the worst nightmare spell.

Yeah, they're the worst superhuman police ever. At least the Thunderbolts take the job seriously.

It happened 2x this week. The NA Annual and Mighty Avengers. Carol might as well be a New Avenger at this point :o

Expanding it beyond the New Avengers, Tony's also made an exception for Bucky.

Oh,well, didn't read the annual yet. So that's news to me. Truth be told, they don't want to arrest them, but if they don't, then the T-Bolts will, and that will be a hell of a lot messier with those *****e bags. (Minus Song Bird and Dr. Chen) I could only hope they're building up for a Thunderbolts/New Avengers/Mighty Avengers fight.

Batman #673
Green Lantern #27
Amazing Spider-man #546
Avengers: Initiative #9
Captain America #34
Daredevil #104
New Avengers Annual #2
