So nothing on ultimate spider-woman...hmmm. On the one hand this means 100 could be amazing, or just a big tease....

well, judging by the trend that seems to be establishing itself for clones that aren't-quite-right - either deformed, or insane - I wouldn't be surprised if Spider-Girl/Woman (whatever) turns out to be simply...

a female clone of Peter.

That'd certainly be a good explanation for her powers and the similar costume?

Typical, i stopped buying USM about a year ago and they seem to have been the most interesting ones for a while! god bless TPB's, eh?

and yep from the looks of it, 100 is going to be quite an interesting one - let's hope there's a fight or two, eh?!

though i have to say, i picked up #99 in the shop and flicked through, and when I got to the last page i thought "oh... George Stacy's back too..." is it definitely supposed to be Richard Parker?

^Itd allow a Spider-Woman to be in the Ultimates and work for SHIELD, and yet still be a twist on her traditional character. Seems like something Bendis would do.

Comics Continuum posted a "Press Conference" Bendis had about USM:

http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0608/24/marvelpress.htm

Highlights naturally include that "Clone Saga" definately "will have lasting ramifications", and considering how #99 went, that seems to go without saying. Bendis also admits he'd like to get Ultimate Jessica Jones there (duh) and that Scarlet Spider is "not appearing". He also wants to get in some original costumed characters down the line, and hopefully they do better than Geldoff (who admittedly wasn't "costumed"). And that a "Marvel Knights-esque" strike against Kingpin may be coming up eventually, following from the second annual.

The Big question has to be whether the Ultimate Jessica Jones meets up with the ultimate Purple Man or this time actually does end up joining the Ultimate Avengers. :hq:

He said he'd like to have her, not that she was going to appear.

Oh please, quit your *****ing until it actually happens.

Darthphere's reviews continued....

Birds of Prey #97-Dear Livejournal, I really liked this issue as it featured my favorite emo/goth/depressed/messed/whatever magic user Black Alice as she takes on the Birds of Prey and some members of the Society. *sigh* Gail Simone continues with her crusade of making Black Canary a mommy figure as she tries to talk down Black Alice using words like "sweetie" and "honey". Delicious, I like honey. Anyway, the issue was pretty good, and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to future issues, thank you Livejournal, youre the only one that understands me and why I love Birds of Prey. I hate this world *sigh* 7.5 Emo Twylight's out of 10.

Blue Beetle #6-The continuing adventures of the new Hispanic Blue Beetle continues and some plot points are wrapped up and new ones appear. Giffen seems to have a nice handle on the characters but I still feel theyre overly hispanic. I wish this title had some more consistent art however as of 6 issues weve had 3 different artists at this point. Phantom Stranger makes an appearance and its always nice seeing that mofo overall decent issue.7 Stereotypical Tropico's out 10.

Then what? Bendis has yet to surprise anyone with any earth shattering twists. So, she'll 99% be in the book. She's his freaking pet project.

And what fact might that be?

That Bendis is predictable.
