Oh boy, is it the part of the thread where we ***** about Dread's reviews?

Because that didn't get old, like, immediately, as soon as we started doing it.

You got that right.

I say you wanna complain about Dread's reviews...pony up your own and show us some review magic.

I'm allowed to rip Bendis' writing, because he's a professional, and I could write better dialogue if I was flying out of my mind on ludes.

Hey, we're giving the people what they want. People *****ed last week because we only had two pages in the thread. This is the only way to get it to eight.

Um sure, nobody is saying you can't. But Doc, let me ask you a question, when was the last time you bought a Bendis comic?

And I don't do reviews because sadly, I don't get my comics as regularly as I would like to.

Actually, it wasn't a *****ing about the threads being too short...it was noticing that activity on the Hype isn't what it used to be. Sure, a few people know how to complain for pages on end....but, it still doesn't mean that the amount of reviews are what they used to be.

People were just complaining about the page count, as I recall. We've endeavored to increase the page count this week. We're like Joe Q and Bendis in that respect; they wanted the Avengers to sell better and they got it done. Who cares if they don't look or act anything like the Avengers now? Reviews are dead and gone, people; this is New Bought/Thought. :o

Green Arrow & Black Canary #10: I'm not exactly sure what it is about this title that I love..it's just a fun read. Even the addition of Plastic Man to the last couple issues hasn't taken away from it too much. (Sorry, but there isn't a DC character I hate more than Plastic Man. If he died in Final Crisis, I'd shed tears of happiness.) This Green Arrow comic is hands down superior to his last cancelled series. Winick just knows how to keep the action going, and even the art lends itself beautifully to the story. 7/10

Secret Invasion #4: Say what you will about House Of M...but, Bendis did a much better job of telling his tale with that comic than he's doing with Secret Invasion. It just seems scattered, and there are even times I'm clueless to who some of the characters are. (Like the gal in space.) There are parts to each issue I like...but, there are just as many that just seem underdeveloped. (Nick Fury's return should have been so much more...but, Bendis has too much going on within this issue. Plus, I keep wondering why so many of the Skrulls are fighting while NOT being in disguise in the streets of New York.) Bendis has great ideas...he just doesn't follow-through like he used to. (Really, when you have your hands in so many comics, I think many tend to suffer from lack of full attention.) This is much better than Final Crisis...but, that's not saying much. It all could be soooo much better. 5/10

I salute you!

So, it should be called the Biatch/Complain Thread?

Hmmm, HOM stuff maybe? I cannot STAND his dialogue style. It's like sitting through the love scenes in the new Star Wars flicks.

I call it false advertising.
I call it "it's more fun this way so shut up and enjoy it 'cause it ain't changing back anytime soon, whiny internet fanboy!"

(Man, I think I'm starting to understand Joe Q now.)

Haha...Speaking of Star Wars, it's funny how every time they show the new Star Wars Clone Wars preview at the movies, it gets a round of groans from the crowd. I've yet to hear anyone (other than my son) who seems the least bit thrilled by this cartoon.

BTW, Hellboy II was a pretty good movie. Thank God, because I was soooo disappointed with Hancock.

I haven't seen the trailer for Clone Wars at any movie.

I'm watching it though.:csad:

I liked both halves of Hancock, but I didn't think they fit together too well. It felt like two separate movies glued together around that big twist in the middle.

I have to wait until tomorrow to watch Hellboy 2 because my friends don't want to go after 9, when I get out of work.

You are aware that you are contributing to exactly what you're b***hing about right?

Again..it's observing. It doesn't matter to me if people post reviews or don't post reviews. I only do it a few times a year...and, am simply passing the time until Big Brother starts up on Sunday. That's when real drama starts!

Just cuz you put syrup on s**t don't make it pancakes.

I've seen it once, I think. I don't know if I'm gonna bother watching the movie or the follow-up cartoon. Between the Tartakovsky shorts, the comics, and the books from that era, what is there really left to say? It seems like an entirely unnecessary rehash of bits from each of those, which is a shame because there are so many almost untouched parts of the EU that deserve exploration.

To me, it lacked everything that made Iron Man and Incredible Hulk so good. I never came away with any caring for any of the characters, it was all so predictable (you knew from Charlize Theron's first worried glance at Hancock that they had a previous history together), and the main villian might be the worst movie villian in comic movie history.

Tomorrow, I'm actually having to take a ferry to Seattle to see Journey To The Center Of The Earth in 3D. My son has been dying to see that film, and no theater near us is showing it in the 3D form. I've heard some really good things about it...but, it looks like a film that wouldn't be that good in 2D.
