ComingSoon's predictions:

Enchanted: $9 to 11 million on Wednesday and Thursday and another $26 to 29 million over the weekend (that’s about $38 to 40 million over the five days, enough to take #1 not only this weekend but next week as well!), and it should wind up somewhere in the range of $100 million total or slightly higher.

Stephen King's The Mist: $5 to 7 million on Thursday and Friday and another $13 to 15 million over the weekend ($18 to 20 million five-day) on its way to $45 million

Hitman: $6 to 8 million on Wednesday and Thursday, $12 to 14 million over the three-day weekend ($17 to 19 million five-day) and roughly $35 million total.

Yeah, in terms of money I think it's a new record. And the total numbers for the entire year is definitely on the way to set a new record. Which really isn't a big deal. In the 80's and 90's almost every year set a new record. And I doubt 2007 will held the record for very long thanks to ever increasing ticket prices and the growing number of movies released every year.

Box Office predicts are not my thing, but I will say given the cast of NT2 Book of Secrets (Mirren, Keitel, Voight, Ed Harris) its going to be a kick ass flick and thus do very well/ The John Wilkes Booth storyline is very intriguing. :wow:
