Breaking Bad - Part 10

Hmm. Interesting. I'm just wondering what that hidden writing in the photo is going to lead to. Because why show that if it wasn't going to impact the story in some way?

The writing on the back of the photo that was a bunch of numbers? I thought those were account numbers, and thus how Hank was able to track down all of Gus' accomplices.

Yeah, the writing was the account numbers I'm pretty sure

Hank tracked down all the accomplices just by arresting people who worked for Gus. And he got to the money by following Mike's Lawyer.

So I don't think that was it. Especially since Hank never referenced that. As far as I know, the information on the picture is still a loose thread.

Walt is using the M60 to take out the nazis and Jesse. Walt will hear "Heisenberg" is back cooking, thanks to Jesse cooking for the nazis, and his pride will cause him to come back and stop them.

No, the lawyer was the second time. It happened once before because they found the account numbers on the photo. That was why Mike came back into the fold.

Just saw the latest episode...my god that was powerful...everything just completely fell apart for the whole family.

Definitely one of my favorite episodes.

I'm very surprised to hear that the whole opening was all new footage, nothing actually pulled from the pilot.

I just realized that Walt technically dug the graves for Hank and Gomie. :csad:

I feel pretty awful about Hank the more I think about it. To come so close to victory but only get to taste it for a few minutes before everything goes to hell. And then for Marie, to first hear the best possible news...but then get the worst possible news. Brutal.

Hank going for the gun on the ground seemed like a callback to his encounter with the twins too. Almost like Uncle Jack's boot was saying, "Not this time Hank." :csad:

One thing I liked was that in Hank's final moments there wasn't a trace of that PTSD. He was completely in control. I tend to think that for him, just arresting Walt was kind of like conquering his own demons.

I just remembered that
PBS/CBS' Charlie Rose
appears in this Sunday's episode! Hmmm...

I actually feel almost as bad for gomez as I do hank if not more. He really was just another Walt collateral damage casualty who really should have never been put in that situation.

Also sort of sucks that his death was overshadowed immediately by hanks.

Still one of my highlight moments form the show:

I'm pouring out a schraderbrau for the homie gomie.

I don't feel too bad for Gomey. Why shouldn't he have been in that situation? He was a DEA agent trying to take down a major drug kingpin. That was his job, and he understood that the risk of death was always a part of it. Hank's death is a much bigger deal because of the element of betrayal involved.

What he was doing wan't part of his job though. Hank was working off the record and he brought Gomez in because he was his friend and pretty much the only person of authority he could trust, it wasn't a DEA opperation more like a friend helping a friend. Well walt told the aryans how the DEA wasn't in on it he was telling the truth.

Granted Hank in that regards has some blame but then it all goes back to Walt being his brother in law and thus freaking hank out about turning this over to the DEA.

I just enjoyed Gomez as a character he was probably the only real stand-up guy on the show.

I know it was off the books, but it was still two DEA agents attempting to take down a drug kingpin. On the books, off the books, whatever, we know both Hank and Gomez loved the job and took their duty seriously enough that all that would matter to them is that they're the lawmen bringing justice to a criminal who richly deserves it. I mean, yeah, it's a shame that he got killed, but we kind of all saw that coming, didn't we? And, for what it's worth, I don't think he or Hank would've balked at dying in the line of duty.

Walt is using the M60 to take out the nazis and Jesse. Walt will hear "Heisenberg" is back cooking, thanks to Jesse cooking for the nazis, and his pride will cause him to come back and stop them.
That's my current theory too. Walt clearly hates Jesse now, since he blames him for Hank's death and, later, the destruction of his entire life. The blue meth's gonna show up with a purity comparable to his own cooks', and he's gonna know that Jesse's still alive and Todd & the gang haven't delivered on their end of the bargain to eventually kill him. So having basically nothing left but his seething rage at Jesse, he goes back to kill Jack, Todd, Jesse, and everyone else in his way.

That still leaves the question of the ricin, though. I'm kind of hoping that Walt kills the Nazis and at first seems like he's rescuing Jesse, only to slip him the ricin sometime. How crazy would that be, for Walt to hate Jesse so much now that he'd offer him one final ray of hope just to snatch it away and kill him?

There could have been worst ways for them go. Hank had probably one of the best TV deaths ever.

Hank stayed true to his character all the way to his death. Hell, everyone stayed true to their characters on last night's episode.

This is what I think will be Walt's motivation also.

That's pretty close to what I've been thinking. Walt will save Jesse, slip the ricin into a pack of cigs or something, Jesse start to smoke it and then Walt says something like, "You were always too stupid to see what I was doing." Seems like a fitting way for Walt to kill Jesse if he does. Why else would he need that particular piece of ricin back? Couldn't he just make more if it were intended for someone else?

Walt is so good at lying, especially to himself.
