Breaking Bad - Part 10

Just saw the latest episode. Best episode of the season and one of the best so far IMO :wow:.

I think Walt bought the rifle and retrieved the ricin to get the money back from Todd's uncles and, based on the preview for the next episode, possibly to save his family from them as well.

Also, I'm curious to find out who the Disappearer is.

Bill Hader would have made a great companion/cohort to Kuby and Huell.

I honestly hope we Never see Marie again lol. I still can't stand her.

Marie's awesome. And Walt Jr is awesome (for all his haters too). Even Skyler is okay. I don't get the haters. All the characters on this show are great. There's no intolerable duds like on other lesser shows (Dana Brody on 'Homeland'... Tara on 'True Blood'... any character on 'Dexter').

I actually think he comes back to town to kill Todd and Jesse, cause he heard that the Blue is back on the street. As for the ricin, it could be for anybody, even himself.

All we'll know is that he has a sweet van. :oldrazz:

What I'm curious about is the time frame we're in here, heading toward the flashforwards. They said last night that Holly was 18 months old. How much time passed between the first episode and her birth?

Has everyone seen the promo pic of Walt's Heisenberg hat with the bullet going through it?

Wonder if Walt ends up getting shot...it would be less tragic IMO than him "winning" his final encounter with whomever and then slowly succumbing to his cancer anyway being infinitely worse off in life than before he risked everything.

I think back to the episode where Walt talked to Jr about how he wanted or rather didn't want to be remembered by his son...now there's everything that's happened...so tragic.

So, question:

Is anybody still waiting for the remaining Gus threads to be picked up?

I mean, we got hints at Gus having a past from the flashbacks involving him. "The only reason you're alive and he isn't is because I know who you are." And at the beginning of Season 5 they hinted that more would be done with Gus' backstory, when the cop found some writing on the back of the broken picture of Gus.

So is anybody still curious as to where that comes in? Or if they're going to address it?

Deb> Skyler. :cwink:

Anna Gunn bored me for the better part of 5 seasons. She was phenomenal last night though and has been for most of this season. Took a while for her to get there though. Overall I think they could've cast the role better.

I think people looked a little too much into that really. I think what was meant was that Gus wasn't killed because it was such a key factor to the operation at that point with position within the corporation. All of that other stuff was just for fleshing out his character. I don't think anything was ever meant to come out of it.

Saul's guy. The guy that can make you disappear without a trace. He's been brought up and talked about for 2 seasons now.

Oh. I doubt we'll find out anything about him. Probably just remain the mysterious plot device.

I really hope Saul's vanishing guy remains unseen. It adds a cool vibe to his character. Any time he's mentioned, you know **** is real.

I'd buy that...if we didn't have the cliff hanger of the "I didn't see this before" and showing hidden writing on the back of Gus' picture after Walt and Jessie trashed the evidence room.

That was an obvious hint to something more.

I think Hector Salamanca refers to him as "General" in a flashback, so based on that and the Madrigal Electromotive website, he's likely a former General in Augusto Pinochet's military who fled to Mexico after the 1986 assassination attempt since there's no record of him before then.

Hmm. Interesting. I'm just wondering what that hidden writing in the photo is going to lead to. Because why show that if it wasn't going to impact the story in some way?

The opening flashback was filmed on the last day of series production. Interesting.
