I think it was said to have been a month at least.

In the podcast Gilligan said there was at least 3-4 months that walt spent in the cabin in total. It was more than one month from the time he was bald til we saw him with all that hair.

They just skipped some of the times he visited walt. When we saw him appearing again it seems like they both had gotten used to the scheduled monthly visits.

Although I do find it hard to believe Walt didn't try to kill himself or actually go insane spending so much time alone in that cabin?

The guy who plays Todd is an amazing actor. I was kind of surprised he's only 24 or so.
