Breaking Bad

Jesse's problem dog speech
The group leader's daughter speech
Mike's half measures speech

Trying to remember the other ones that were emotionally motivated.

Perhaps the thing that I loved most about the finale was Walter saying he felt alive. Because it directly connects to what could be my favourite moment of the entire series. Which is Walt giving into the surge of adrenaline he got from getting the money from Tuco after the infamous "This is no meth" scene.

And the tiniest of smiles he gives just before pulling away is perhaps his first true step towards Breaking Bad.

I can't believe how much I miss this show. Gonna have to go back and do a full rewatch soon

As much as I loved the show I hope I can put off a rewatch for a long, long time. I'd love to forget a lot of the details then remember them as I watch the series.

That's one of the joys re-watching something that's so rich and dense. I did it recently with The Sopranos and it was almost like seeing it again for the first time because there were so many details I forgot.

Haha absolutely. A couple years ago I watched some of the early seasons of The X-Files...it was a total trip. Aside from all the nostalgia and remembering all the details of cozying up on those Friday nights, it was great to both experience the show from almost a fresh, blank perspective but at the same time remember things as well. :)

Speaking of re-watching the series anyone here planning to pick up the complete series collected edition?

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the barrel package a little gimmicky and hard to fit in with other blu-rays.

I'd love to own that one day, but I will wait for a hefty discount. I may not buy it for 1-2 years.

The talking pillow scene is what got me interested in the show.

I pre-ordered it, I can not wait to re-watch the whole series without the stupid commercials. :word:

I've been hearing rumors that a 4k remaster is coming next year...presumably without the extras. Kinda lame, I almost wish they waited for next year to release the whole set with the new transfers but instead they're going for the double dip. I think I pretty much do want the barrel set though, the extras seem phenomenal and I don't own any of the seasons so it's 55 hours of fresh new bonus material for me.

I hope it's not a repost, but I saw this on The Chive today:

While it is cool, no. I already own 1-5a, and it's so expensive/pointless for me to rebuy them all...unless I sell them all and manage to knock the price down.

I wonder if whoever lives there ever gets annoyed with the BB fans that come to take pictures. I imagine no, since they would've given permission for the series to shoot there in the first place, but still...

heh, I've been rewatching X-Files some lately. Seems like almost every episode has a "Hey, it's that guy!" moment. Still on season 1 so I'm a long way away from Cranston's appearance.

Sure, but I wouldn't put it on a shelf with other Blu-rays, I'd display it on its own somewhere. Anyway, I will be asking for this or hinting this for Christmas. I don't have any seasons on DVD or Blu.

I'm telling you, I would MUCH rather have had the entire series set in a package similar to this but with the iconic RV

Rewatching the finale, the scene with Walter in his old house where he has that flashback with Hank watching the meth bust on tv, really makes your heart sink.

Don't know if you guys saw anything about it, but Bob Odenkirk is going to have a role in the Fargo miniseries that FX is doing.

It must be traumatising for poor Carol.

A constant reminder every day, of the danger that lived next door.

:hehe:
