Corenswet would be great; Holland, while not my first choice, would be fine by me too but he hasn't really made any splash outside of Spider-Man. It's like Timmy Chalamet is taking all the twink roles for himself. Not that I'm advocating for Chalamet as Alex

If not Corenswet, Leo Woodall could be a good choice too.

If not Corenswet, my mind goes to Jack Quaid (who is a former Radio Silence collaborator) for perhaps a dorkier take on Alex. Quaid has more of the right sort of fun, outsized presence for an action-adventure-comedy series like this.

The physical comedy he brought to live action Boimler on Strange New Worlds is spot on for this sort of series.

Basically how I see it, Corenswet if you want an Alex who takes more after Rick, Jack for an Alex who takes more after Evie and Jonathan.

I don't really have a dog in the race for who plays Alex but I'm just putting it out there that Will Poulter could pull off a grown version of the kid from Returns, plus he's got Weisz's crazy eyebrows from the first movie.

Weisz and Fraser are both expensive Oscar winners now, I'm sure the VFX won't be cheap either, so if they cast anyone for their son, it'll be some British dude we've all never heard of but with abs of steel.

I think they can afford to splurge on the budget for this. The first movie is a beloved classic and I feel like this could be a big hit. Maybe not a billion dollars big but I could definitely see it outgrossing the $400M neighborhood that the original and Returns ended up at. Besides, how many movies out there have you seen with a bumper sticker like this?
