Captain Marvel Brie Larson is Captain Marvel!

She just needs a lightning stripe and red sash on that now. And some thigh-high boots and long gloves.

Although thigh-high boots looks more stripperish than completely bare legs. At least here she looks sporty.

Just like they had Captain Marvel ski uniforms for the Olympics (and I don't know if those are on sale to the public), they should have Captain Marvel (or Ms Marvel/Warbird) swimming costumes.

The summer Olympics is only 2 years away now (already!) and the Captain Marvel movie is next year. So maybe Marvel could work out a deal for the US swimming team. Would be a great advertisement for the movie (even though it would already have happened).

An argument could be made for the leotard, but not the thigh-high boots and magic gloves.
Carol's powers of energy projection/absorbtion could heat things up for her, requiring her to wear less.

Your best bet would be to simply ask Brie on Twitter and Instagram to post a picture of herself in the o!d Ms. Marvel costume.

Shrugs. Who knows. Maybe Captain Marvel is a huge fan of Shazam and has a black one piece bathing suit with a yellow lightning bolt. :woot:

I always preferred the original Ms Marvel costume (the red and blue one) that they used a variation of in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. That didn't have thigh-high boots at all but just normal boots and bare legs. She didn't have long gloves either, because her top was long sleeved, so she just wore normal gloves.

I always thought that looked better than the Warbird costume. Plus it looks more like the classic Mar-Vell costume too.

I don't know much about Ayn Rand, why quoting her is a bad thing?

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Could someone explain why Objectivism is being brought up in connection to Larson?

She used a quote from The Fountainhead in one of her Instagram posts a while back and people got up in arms about it. But it's quite old news in this thread, we moved on from the topic a while ago.

Basically people have said Ayn Rand inspired the new breed of libertarianism which obviously some people agree with and some don’t.

Have you ever played bioshock? Ayn rand inspired Andrew Ryan’s philosophy

I've read two biographies of Rand. I was asking why it was being brought up in relation to Larson.

How would having the swimmers dress in a costume that likely won't be in the movie be good advertising for it?
