Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered

This is some of the greatest news in the last 5 years of COD for me. I've gone back countless times to COD4 for a little bit, but every time gets ruined by hackers.

I'm interested to see how everything holds up after this long, but I'm excited to whip out the old dastardly G3 again. Not happy about only 10 maps being remastered, but oh well, I will easily pay for DLC of the rest of the maps.

I would like to be optimistic and think the reason for only ten maps is that they're doing more work to the game than a simple upres. I doubt that's true though.

With the 3 year cycle I totally expect them to gouge us for maps, but of course they won't remake one of my favorites and I'll happily pay money to play it.

I doubt thats it as the maps were sections taken from the main game. The base game had 16 before DLC added new areas and this remaster has 10. Im almost certain they'll likely sell it as DLC the following year. God if true, I hope this isnt a trend that Activision starts and others follow. Remasters should be complete editions; not sold in chunks with DLC to complete it

I really hope they release this standalone. I've fallen out with the series for several years now but I'd love to play this again. COD4 is a legitimately exceptional game and the best in the series since it was released.

No news yet on whether you’ll be able to pick up Modern Warfare Remastered separately.

Wow. That looks great. If this ever becomes a stand alone release, I might just have to bite. CoD4 was the last CoD i truly enjoyed and I left the series entirely after MW2.

There was already leaks of a MW trilogy coming, probably early next year, but I don't know if you'll ever be able to get them separate or not.

EDIT: I also just noticed that the title was spelled wrong...it's been spelled wrong this whole time since this thread was created, guys. You all think about that.

With all negative feedback to this being a bundle and the infinite warfare trailer being the most disliked game video on youtube, I really hope it'llbBJ3H.jpg be announced that this will be sold separately afterall.

This remaster looks great but I ain't paying $80 for a bundle when the more I rematch the infinite warfare trailer the more I lose interest.
