Yea the Gulag level where you come in the shower rooms was blatantly inspired by The Rock.

Yep. There's even an achievement for beating 'Wolverines!' and 'Exodus' on Veteran, called "Red Dawn". I'm sure the mountain climbing level was named 'Cliffhanger' after the Sly Stallone flick. The favella escape reminded my of Casino Royale, and I'm sure most have seen the comparisons of Soap's look with that of an actor in the "Tears of The Sun" movie.

I just find some of the complaints I read prior to playing the game, about how it was unrealistic and over-the-top...I mean, it's clearly supposed to be. I'm playing through the Gulag level right now, and I expect the game to only get crazier.

Yeah, I got them for PS3, and i got to say, I love Storm! Just got Omnicide on it and Overgrown is probably my second fav.

Ahh man... i hadn't played this for like a month then my first game yesterday i got my 5th nuke!

After that i was doing pretty **** though. I must of lucked out and got some crap opponents.

I also took about a month off but I didn't have as much returning luck as you did, I've still yet to even experience a nuke and I'm about 43,000 exp from being able to prestige. I really need to get back into this to make up for lost time

After recently getting the new maps for the PS3 I can safely say that crash has retaken its spot as my favorite map. also Im loving getting an enormous amount of points and quickly moving on up in the rankings and unlockables.

Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package Details, Pricing

Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling revealed new details about the upcoming Resurgence Package, the second multiplayer map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In an interview with Microsoft's Xbox Live director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, Bowling confirmed the pack will include three all-new maps and two previously released maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The pack will also cost $14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points) and will be available first on Xbox Live starting June 3.

Here are the details on the three new maps:

Carnival – Desolate amusement park with excellent vantage points for snipers. It's "unlike anything we've ever done before," said Bowling. The map takes place during the daytime and includes all original art and model assets. Bowling added that the team really wanted to include this in the first map pack, but the team needed additional time for polish. It's a fairly large map and includes many set pieces, such as roller-coasters, a fun house, and bumper cars.

Trailer Park – Contains tight corridors and condensed areas. Very maze-like with obvious choke points. In context of the game, this map is the living quarters for the people who run the Boneyard level found in Modern Warfare 2's singleplayer campaign. The Boneyard will be viewable in the background.

Fuel – Completely unique from the other maps. The setting is an oil refinery and is split into two sections. One area is wide-open for snipers and the other half is a large warehouse with tight corridors. This map is almost as big as Overgrown from Call of Duty 4.

The two old maps are:

Vacant - Wide-open Russian complex and includes new visuals and details.

Strike - Urban town.

Those look awesome... used to love running around Vacant with a shotty blasting fools. The Carnival one looks to be spectacular.

If these maps where cheaper I might get them, but I already feel I've already payed enough. The game itself was higher than the normal charge for any other game (thanks IW) & the game is essentially the same as MW1.

+ There is the no dedicated servers with the flawed cheat system, meaning you cannot kick wallhack &/or aimbot users from games but thats another issue..

Anyway, why should I flog out another £20 for more maps.. some of which are re-hashed MW1 maps.. outrageous greed IMO.

I couldn't agree more, but hey, what can you do about it. If you don't get the maps you'll just be kicked by the computer.

I might (will definately) get bashed for this but does anyone know "someone" who will possibly/maybe do a challenge lobby for free. I'm Prestige 6, Level 50 and I kinda don't feel like leveling up anymore. Kinda getting bored but leaving my account at that level doesn't sit right with me. I'm alittle OCD about stuff like that.

Got to say the new map pack coming out looks even better than the last one. I wonder how many more map packs will come out. You know Microsoft is going to get every buck out of this that they can, I would not be surprised if IW was already working on map pack #3. I'm not bashing anyone, I love the fact that there making new maps. But I feel what I said is nothing but the truth.
