Didn't Blunt turn down the role of Maya Hansen? If so, that's a good call on her part

I think the report of them wanting her for the role was just like a British tabloid rumor and never went beyond that stage, so I didn't put much stock in it. All we know for sure is that she was cast as Black Widow, forced to drop out by Fox, then turned down the role of Peggy Carter shortly afterward. Jessica Chastain definitely turned down the role of Maya Hansen, though.

I doubt there's any weight to this, but I'd certainly be happy if it were true.

I think the guy said 'I've heard from someone that it was a done deal..he didn't seem THAT confident about it.'

Way far out there speculation (like what was I on when I thought of this) but what if Simmons getting sucked into that Kree stone at the end of Season 2 ties into Carol Danver's introduction to the MCU somehow?

That would require the MCU to actually acknowledge a storyline from AoS, which seems pretty darn unlikely at the moment, imo.

Jemma is too much of a cutie to be Carol Danvers. Simmons will probably become an Inhuman sent out from the rock to kill other Inhumans or maybe something weird will happen like she gives to alien Kree baby.

I could see Carol reading Shield reports on the Kree and how they've been experimenting on dead Kree and finding out that info. That is probably as far as they will go in a Captain Marvel movie to acknowledge AOS and their contributions to the MCU in regards to the Kree story lines.

I hope not. She doesn't really have one and I'd be annoyed if we finally get a leading female movie and they end up forcing a love interest.

As a love interest? Possibly Mar-Vell, though I'd be more ok with it being more of a platonic love or close friendship. Although not as a love interest, I would love to see some Carol and Peter Quill scenes. Maybe during Infinity War, Carol will be the first human he finds out in space and they bond on their mutual love for Star Wars. Maybe a couple of scenes of casual flirting would be cool.

Agreed. Rousey actually got out-acted by KELLAN LUTZ in Expendables 3. That should tell you all you need to know about her "talents" as an actress.

She could be some no-name villain who doesn't say anything but punches the hero real hard. If Marvel ever decided to do a She-Hulk movie/film, she could play Titania.

Well, honestly, I can totally see Ronda Rousey as She-Hulk visually. Get her some acting lessons though.

Rousey could pull of a small appearance for an action scene like GSP did in Winter Soldier.

Hell no to Rousey, she was unbelievably awful in Furious 7 and she only had a couple of lines.

She's had some implied relationships but never really anything strongly focused. That being said, it's a little bothersome that all the male characters can have romantic relationships without issue but a female character has to keep everything strictly platonic or else there are issues. There's a middle ground between no romance and romantic comedy.
