Captain Marvel Captain Marvel General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

Lar lar lar

Anyway, I agree that the scriptwriters following her is too much of a coincidence to not be a sign.

I've thought this was a done deal for awhile now. It's getting too late in the game to not hear about someone else if Cheesy Brie wasn't able to come to an agreement. We would have heard about other actors by now. This last bit of info just adds to it. Do they do that on purpose knowing people will pick up on it? Is it a sly way of saying "It's cheesecake". I'm glad they got her. She'll do very well.

Now I just have to stew over getting my FF back.....

IMDB thinks enough of the "rumors" to announce Brie as Carol in her filmography. Guessing all they'll have to do is remove "rumored" from their website.

Putting money on Brie coming out in Hall H and being announced as Captain Marvel

Apparently Boseman's gonna be there too even though Black Panther's still 2 years away and they haven't started filming yet. Now crossing my fingers for Brie being announced as part of an Infinity War line-up.

Should be nice to get some confirmation though the assumption is pretty strong at this point.

Though really I'm just looking forward to seeing this movie. Admittedly not a huge comic person so this will be one of the first real times I've seen the character. But just the abilities she's going to add to the MCU will be awesome.

I think that will be the case with most of the public, and that's one of the things that really excites me about movies like this and Black Panther. These characters are really being established for the very first time for the majority of audiences and are in all likelihood about to become household names on the levels of the other Avengers, and we get to witness it. It's a great time to be a fan, imo.

I wonder if they'll let Brie be interviewed by the press after the Kong panel. You know someone is going to ask her about Captain Marvel. It won't shock me if she's mysteriously not present to talk to any of the press during the post Kong interviews.

That would certainly be conspicuous, lol. But they ARE allowed to just say "no Captain Marvel questions" before the press line. I know they did something like that with Chris Evans at one of the Cons when he was there to promote The Losers. Cap questions were off-limits.

Really does make it an exciting time. Going to be the first time people have met a lot of these characters. Can't say a bad thing about the introduction to Black Panther in CW. Got a feel for the kind of person he is and far more hyped to see his solo movie when the time comes.

Favorites will remain favorites. But with so many characters being introduced, the chance to gain more favorite characters is definitely there.

I'm really hoping they'll do what they did at SDCC '10 for the first Avengers movie and bring the whole cast for Infinity War out. That'd be awesome, and a great way to announce Brie too.

I'm gonna be so bummed if they don't announce the casting today. There are only two things that could have held it up if they don't... Either Brie and Marvel are still hashing out the specifics of her deal, or things went South and Marvel had to go after someone else. I'm 99% sure Brie will be the one in the role, but I hate all this not knowing crap. They've been stringing us along for years on who will play Carol... I just want to know who it'll be, damnit! 😅

If they did say no CM questions, that, in and of itself, would be very telling. I HOPE they DO say that. :woot:

I am SO stoked because I REALLY think this is going to happen. I wish I felt the same about FF joining MCU. :csad:

This is kind of like New Year's for me except my memory is better.

Eh. It would make more sense if they said that he actors would only answer questions pertaining to the Skull Island movie, as opposed to "no Captain Marvel questions.". It would kill the surprise.

WB wouldn't want an actress to promote their rival studio at their panel.

But, but, but, I WANT them to say that.....

Josh at MTV asked Brie about Captain Marvel during an interview. She played coy... Too coy. She gave the same answer she did in 2015. It was obvious she had been told not to say anything. Her reaction totally gave her away. Girl has a good poker face, but I'm almost 100% sure we're getting her confirmed as CM tonight.

What time is the Marvel panel?

LOL, just watched and that was waaay too coy. And not just her, the whole Kong casts' reaction.

She literally said "who?" when asked about it, as if she hasn't been asked about this character a ton in the last several months. To me that was a bigger giveaway than anything else.

Just waiting for Brie Larson to be announced as Captain Marvel, like...
