I too immediately thought of Tyrese after reading Ramsus's post. These entertainers need to stop auditioning through the media and on twitter, it's annoying.
I hate when people present fake information as facts. She hasn't ducked anyone (it's not possible to fight someone who's suspended for using steroids and then moves to a higher weight class than what her weight was when not using steroids). It's also not possible for a division like the strawweights to be good when it only has two fighter that have any sort of actual skill.I don't mind that she's so successful, because she's earned it to a degree (she's received flack for ducking certain fighters, though). I'm just more frustrated that the other, better women's division in the UFC (the smaller strawweights) doesn't receive even half as much attention.

I find it odd that people LET that annoy them so much. If you don't like it, don't read/listen to it, simple as that. I couldn't care less what they say/do, it doesn't register with me either way.
This discussion is basically Triple H for Thor all over again. I stand a better chance of being elected Pope than Rousey does landing Captain Marvel. They might throw her a bone and give her offer her some C or D list villain or other minor part (like Batroc in TWS) but headling Cap. Marvel? Not a chance.
So, ya'll feel like Spidey has pushed back this and maybe Panther or nah?
It seems odd that some people seemingly have their heart set on Carol being in her 40s when her canon age in the comic books is early thirties at most.
Exactly.I think that people hope that the Marvel that cast a 46 year old Paul Rudd as Ant-Man don't believe that an actress has to be below the age of 25 in order to play Captain Marvel. I love plenty of younger actresses but they shouldn't be the only ones scoring roles. The extreme ageism towards actresses is disgusting and I want it to stop.
Exactly.
And to add to that, Carol Danvers is one of the few Marvel characters we've gotten who had a pretty well-established career experience before becoming a superhero, so there should be a pretty clear target age. In the old comics, she's an Air Force major, for which the average age is 33. Since we can assume she's one of the best who rose through the ranks rather quickly, your target range for an actress to play that version would probably be ages 28-35. However, in current comics, she's a colonel with a lot more authority, and the average age for a colonel in the Air Force is...ready for this? Age 45. It is straight up IMPOSSIBLE to become a colonel in today's Air Force in your 20's. So the target range for that version of Carol should be late-30's to late-40's.
Of course they don't have to go with either of those ranks - maybe they'll split the difference and make her a Lt. Colonel - but my point is simple. I just want Marvel to cast Carol at an age appropriate to her experience (whichever rank/experience they choose to give her), as they have done now with Ant-Man (a divorced father formerly respected in his field), Captain America (a young man who volunteered to serve his country during wartime), Thor (an immature young prince), Rhodey (another decorated Air Force Colonel), etc.
Rhoda as She-Hulk would be nice. Wilde as Carol is a good choice as well.
But please, don't make her invincible.
