Definitely. Honestly I expect some rumor lists of actresses and directors to come out soon.

I'd say early to mid 30's.

This is Hollywood, I expect some women in their mid to late 20's on the list at the very least. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they are only looking at actresses from 30 to 40 years old.

Late 20s to early 30s sounds about right although I think it's possible they'd make an exception if it's someone huge like Charlize.

I'm not saying that they won't, I just said that I think that there will be some women on the list who are in their 20's. Considering the ages the male actors have been when cast nobody should complain if a 30-40 year old actress is cast.

I think 30's will be the primary age range, but I'd expect a couple outliers on both the younger side and older side. And one of those outliers will be Brie Larson, lol. Like her or not, there's no way a blonde, attractive, 20-something recent Oscar winner WON'T be on the list. Which is why another outlier on the younger side will probably be Alicia Vikander. For the record though, I still prefer they go a little older, myself.

I prefer 30's as well. I think Brie Larson and Lily James are my below the age of 30 picks. I like Vikander but I don't quite see her fitting the role. I wouldn't object if she got the role, she's a talented actress.

I totally agree. Vikander's older than Brie but seems notably younger, and therefore just seems too young for Carol to me. Larson and Lily James are my top 2 "under 30" picks as well.

Yeah I think he would want something more concrete in order to mention names.

Honestly I didn't expect anything to come out about Captain Marvel this year because the film is so far away. I thought we'd have to wait for sometime in 2017 I guess. I guess she is going to show up in another film, which is cool.

Given Marvel's previous track record, I expect some women in their 20's to be on the list as well. After all, Scarlett was in her 20's when she first got the BW job, and Liz Olsen still is. There does seem to be a double-standard, even with Marvel to a degree (look how old RDJ, Ruffalo, Bettany, Paul Rudd, and Chadwick Bosemen were when they first got cast by contrast).

Mike5575 is correct in that the actresses whom play The Wasp and Gamora are in their 30's so casting an actress outside of her 20's as a Marvel Superhero is not unheard of.

Yes I know Captain Marvel is the lead role so it's a different situation.

I am thinking late 20's to 33 and up but not older than 36, if that.
It all depends on how quickly they introduce the character and how quickly they get the movie out.

Yeah, Feige saying they'd announce the director in the next month or two and the casting this summer was like Christmas coming early for me. I honestly wasn't expecting to hear anything 'til fall at the earliest, next year more likely. This is exciting.
