Not sure if I like what I'm hearing about the costume but hey, I haven't actually seen it so wtf do I know.

EDIT: Oh, there's also this I guess.

I'm hearing it's a lot like this:

*imagine Brie's face tho*

Carol is a goofball in the comics as well. Huge dork. And no character in the MCU is Stark-like. Even characters that are more wise-cracking like Star-lord or Ant-man are distinct and they are not Iron Man copies.

Except Spider-Man, who they're purposefully turning into Iron Man Jr. :o

Bit disappointed about what we're hearing from the costume. Was hoping for a more alien, space-y design as opposed to a flight suit in vain of what Cap has.

So apparently a director has been selected as well.

Wonder when they'll actually reveal who it is...

"Soon" was allegedly the claim. It seems like it's been "Soon" for many months at this point.

Seems like the ideal place to make the announcement. Glad Marvel aren't skipping out on SDCC again

That description sounds way better than the nerdist one imo. Carol's suit should be sleek & alien-y not baggy & loose like Cap's suit. Their costumes come from two completely different places. I hope we still get the helmet too

I'm glad they won't go with the Mohawk or helmet and I like that they changed the yellow to white. It makes it more like Cap's costume.

If any person thinks that MCU peter is anything like Stark and his arguments don't come down to the suit (which isn't even that similar) is either

a) extremely biased and salty that some aspects have been changed from the comics

b) has serious comprehension issues and can't tell characters apart.

I really hope it's a....

You forgot one other very likely option: They were making a joke.

Chill, brah.

In GOTG we got a Brief View about The Kree Race and The Empire glad that will Change in this Movie

Well, there you go.

I have no idea who those two are anymore than I knew who Patty Jenkins was prior to Wonder Woman, but there you go.

Their resume so far:

Best known for their character study dramas like “Half Nelson” and “Mississippi Grind,” Boden and Fleck have spent a lot of time directing episodes for such popular TV shows as “The Affair” and “Billions.”

"If we hire a woman, we'll look like we're only doing it because the lead is a woman. If we hire a man, then we look sexist! We'll do both!'

Just kidding. In terms resume, they know how to tell a story. Russo Brothers came from a comedy background, but based on the paintball episodes of Community, I knew they could film action. Hope these two can as well.

While it's good they have directors now, couldn't they have just hired a woman? Now it might look like they didn't feel they had enough confidence in a woman alone to direct so needed a man to support her and possibly take the reins when she can't cope.

That's just silly. After months of looking for a director, it's more likely that Marvel Studios hired the duo based off of the overall pitch and vision for the film that probably mixed well with what has been scripted. If Anna Borden and Ryan Fleck had the best pitch and vision and Feige and company have confidence in the duo (who always work together), then I don't see why anyone should complain that it's a girl and guy duo making the movie.

I did not see this coming, amazing. I love their work, although haven't seen any of their recent TV projects.
