That looks extremely bland and unimaginative. It looks like someone just recoloured a standard jumpsuit. I hope Carol's costume looks more like a superheroine.

DR I know that you just want to see the crack of her ass in a thong bikini but not all of us think that's a dignified look for a character Feige has said will be an important and powerful character in the MCU.

I hope the suit is something like this. They HAVE to incorporate the sash though in some way.

Are those zipper pockets? Seeing a hero in a outfit with pockets should be considered a superpower in itself. My only suggestion is keeping the colors of the red and blues on the bright side.

It's basically what she's wearing now in the comics. I think it looks pretty great!

Not to mention the fact that, according to that Narcissus guy, Brie doesn't even look good in a thong, so there'd be no reason to make her wear one. :o

Well then I've got some bad news for you, too!
The red in the new art is darker than what we usually see Carol wear in the comics; it looks like the palette may have been deepened to match the cinematic Captain America’s.

Well I don't know if Mar-Vell will even be in this, but I always liked the idea of her inheriting his costume considering how similar her current costume is to his, as a sort of "passing of the torch" moment (if he dies, which let's be real, he will if he's in this). The way her suit just kind of magically constructs itself around her in the comics, it would just make sense for it to be alien tech (that adapts to the wearer) to me.

Why do they have to suck the color out of everything? :csad:

I bet they will share some art of her during SDCC this year.

Same reason they didn't give Black Widow her belt (which was made for Iron Man 2). Everything needs to have a reason and fit in.

Mar Vell needs to be in her solo film plain and simple

I do think CM's suit should 'POP' much more then that.

I personally would be disappointed if Mar Vell isn't in the film. His is a unique character and I am a fan of his old stories.

You know how Ant-Man is being followed by Ant-Man and The Wasp instead of Ant-Man 2 or Ant-Man: Subtitle? I'm hoping we get to see Captain Marvel's sequel be called Ms. Marvel. It's a better name and always who Carol will be to me.

Eh... The thrust of Marvel for some time has been to build Carol up and stress her primacy as a super heroine. The Ms. Marvel name doesn't really fit into that. I wish Marv-ell could have had his own story in the MCU too, but at best he's gonna be an adjunct to Carol's story.

Taking up the mantle of Captain Marvel was a big deal for Carol. There's no way they'd have her go backwards to the Ms. Marvel moniker. Kamala Khan will use that eventually.

Let's face it, when she was Ms. Marvel she was pretty much irrelevant in the big picture. Becoming Captain Marvel is what made her a superstar, soon to be SUPERSTAR. Any other notion is ridiculous.

The opposite is true.

As Ms Marvel she pulled off a 50 issue run when Marvel was publishing far fewer titles. Now they're pushing 100 and they tried to reboot her three times as Captain and she keeps getting cancelled due to low sales. The numbers don't lie, folks. :/

Few if any titles are doing well these days, that's not necessarily a reflection on the Ms. vs. Captain moniker. No offense but no one is going to care once the film comes out, and when it does, like it or not, in the public imagination Carol Danvers will be Capt. Marvel. Likely her book's sales go through the roof for awhile as well.

Comics industry is in a much different place today. Sales are dwindling every year. The once great Marvel comics is run by political wanks who don't respect legacy and the comic medium is now at the bottom of the barrel in terms of an outlet to deliver these characters to the masses. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison.

Definately. I grew up reading Mar Vell and consider his death arc to be one of the finest pieces Marvel has ever produced. It would be a shame if we didnt see him; a slap in the face if he's not at least referenced.

Can you stop with the slaps in the faces overuse? Exaggeration at it's finest.

Maybe 'afront' is more pleasing to those with delicate phrasing sensibilites? Some folk need to perhaps simply recognise that there are fans of Mar Vell who obviously accept that the MCU are focusing on Carol Danvers but would at least like the original CM to get a nod, if not his due?

I hope there is some kind of inclusion of the Kree and Marv.

As long as his role is somewhat nvolved and given a little shine and not relegated to a one scene GL Abin Sur passing of power treatment.

Marvel comics has IMO failed with their push for Carol to be their lead female character in the comics. She is pretty hated right now by a lot of comic fans and her books don't sell well. I think Ms Marvel is even more popular than her.

The character needs this movie so bad.
