Because that was so accurate when Lois Lane was cast right? It's safe to go for something else besides hair color now.

Lois has had red hair before...no issue. Supergirl has ALWAYS been blonde

Chloe Moretz would be age appropriate for a sequel. Girl's got talent.

She does but I don't think she has the right look. We all have different opinions.
Just for fun I'll throw another curveball in the shape of another talented young actress: Juno Temple. Not saying she would be the perfect option but its another one for consideration. Not entirely sure about this choice myself. Just thought it would be interesting to mention.

Other than Amber Heard from the list I would have to go with Teresa Palmer.
Alice Eve from Star Trek might have been an interesting choice if she was in her early 20's.

well see thats where it gets a bit....weird, Kara is clearly in her late teens to really early 20's in the prequel comic, hell she could be well into her 20's (23-25ish), so its an ify thing with how this Kara will work out, I'm hoping towards an older Kara (Kara Zor-L, Power Girl) since I personally have always liked that version better.....still waiting for her to take over the SG title in the comics and knock Super-Brat out.

If you're talking drop dead gorgeous hottie then no she doesn't have the right look, but if you looking for someone a bit more, for lack of better word, real, then she wouldn't be a bad choice.

Though I don't really see how a 'Girl of Steel' standalone could work out nowadays (with Wonder Woman struggling for years and the complete disasters that were Catwoman and Elektra).
Even a cameo appearance in a future 'Man of Steel' sequel would feel kind of wrong and out of place, to be honest.
