Cast the live-action Legend of Zelda movie

There seems to be on here a lot of people desiring a well made Zelda movie, and a few who think it'll be a terrible idea. However, if a movie were made, who would you want for the cast? Also, who would you want for a director?

The three big players:

Link-
Zelda-
Ganondorf-

Honestly, I have no idea who I'd want for any of these characters, and all the other supporting characters depends on which game you want adapted for the screen. So, who would you like?

I think alot of fresh faces would be great for this film. Im really undecided about actors.

as for a director, one thing for certain is that i'd like to see peter jackson. He knows how to do an adventure film. And this movie is alot about adventure and a couple battles here and there. Alot of character development. 3 hours would work t: lmao

Also, it cant possibly be done with one movie regardless of whichever game you intend to create a movie with.

A three hour Zelda movie might be a little much...

Link could be played by anybody as long as they were clean shaven and were given a pointy nose/ears.

Zelda would have to be someone with fair skin. Not Kiera Knightley, someone a little bit taller. Well, she could work, but..

Ganondorf would have to be done by someone with a deep voice. Maybe The Rock or Javier Bardem, but who knows.

I mean, I guess I shouldn't be bashing your guys's choices since I have no idea who, but Orlando Bloom as Link and The Rock as Ganondorf... is... wow. Just so incredibly BAD.

Now that I think of it, one person who comes to mind is William Moseley (From the Narnia movies)

I don't think I'd want a super big star playing Link.

I think if they turn it into a franchise, they should start out with younger versions of Link and Zelda.

I dunno about Zelda and Link, William Mosley could work, Jamie Bell maybe and maybe Ellen Page for Zelda.. but I've always thought Craig T Nelson for Ganondorf.

He's already got the general kind of 'feel' so with prosphetics plus his height and voice, he'd make a good Ganondorf imo.

You know, I see a lot of good ideas on this forum! Better than some of the ones I have seen on comingsoon.net I love Dakota Fanning but I think she is now too old to play young Zelda! However her little sister Elle Fanning would be perfect. I had her listed as Saria but maybe she would be a better Zelda. Here is my original list.

Eh, a lot of the choices in this topic are okay. The thing is I don't see the need for big name actors to play the parts of the leading three.

Moseley isn't really big name... thats why I think he'd be alright. He's not famous, he's just been in the Narnia movies.

Whoever they cast for the two leads ain't gonna be much older than 21/22 anyways... maybe even younger considering they will want to do a franchise with this... that's why you have to cast young... around 17/18... 9/10 for the younger versions... there is actually a movie starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette that has been filming since 2005 or something and will be due out around 2013 about their child growing up... that would be awesome if the directors had the same vision... film a three part trilogy with the same cast for like 7-8 years in the making... that could capture the true epic scope of Zelda... again its not needed... but that way you won't have to worry about the actors getting older and what not if they film it all together gradually.
