Check mu updated post.
I think that sets up the film to be too focused on romance. To me, that was the big flaw of ASM. Way too much focus on the romance (despite how amazing Stone and Garfield were) that there was little individual character development.
I want to see more Peter Parker. Not his love life. I want them to make use of the wonderful world of supporting characters that are NOT romantic interests. Flash, Harry, J.Jonah, Aunt May etc.
But the thing about Spider-Man in the comics is that it was very much a soap opera in the life of Peter Parker. I don't think you can go without having Gwen or MJ. It's just part of what makes up Peter's life.
Anyone know any younger actresses to go alongside Tom?
True, but I think the romantic aspect has been overdone.
I want them to focus first on his friendships and his time in HS without the romantic story. I think there is a lot to discover there.
The romance can come in after he has matured, preferably after the HS trilogy or near the latter stages.
Daedalus, that's some seriously great casting.
That's not a bad cast at all, Daedalus!![]()
I may not agree on pushing back Gwen and Harry, but that's a great cast, Daedledus!
Captain Wagner said:Charles Dance as Silvermane would be terrific! (Though now I've got to go find a new MCU role for Morgan Freeman). I don't think it would be a waste at all, depending on what happens between now and then on Daredevil with Fisk. Unless he makes a comeback by 2017, Silvermane is the best bet for the top dog in NYC's mobs.
I think Charles Dance as Silvermane would be a bit of a waste, as I imagine that role would be more like Leyland Owlsley in DD. I think he would be better served as Adrian Toomes.
Personally I rather do harry and gwen at the start. Allued to mj during first film. Like the comics or SSM did.
I wouldn't mind her but I rather take folks like Jamie Lee Curtis, Streep, or hell Meg Ryan or Michelle Pfeiffer.

For Vulture, I still say John Malkovich deserves a second chance at the role, after missing out on SM4.

While that would be the most obvious place for him, and he'd surely own the role, I kind of wish they'd give Pacino a less type cast role. Something like Mephisto would be perfec for him.I still say al Pacino would be good maybe for silvermane. And he has said he like to work with marvel.
Yep. I really want to see a savage, irritable, sociopathic Vulture, the type of guy that despite his age, you'd never even think of crossing.I had completely forgotten about that. Malkovich would be a great cranky Vulture.
