With the talk of Hughes actors would any one want Matthew Broderick as either Richard or Ben.

That would literally just be a younger version of Martin Sheen.I could see Alan Ruck as one of Peter's teachers who is hounding him. He looks like he could be one now.
I can see a teacher having quite an important role in this new series of films. He would be a bit of an antagonist.
I think Jon Cryer from Pretty in Pink and Two and a Half men would be hysterical as one of Peter's befuddled teachers.

Yesssssssss. That'd be perfect casting, actually.
We're totally going to get an antagonistic teacher or principal in this series. I'd be stunned if we didn't, especially after Feige's comment about how the stakes for Peter could just as easily be about finishing his fight with the baddie before class as it is about people dying if he fails.
The thing about this character is that he will have to be a totally made up one since I don't think there are any noteworthy teachers in the comics. But then he would have the potentially to be one of the most memorable characters in the film simply by virtue of being a thorn in Peter's side who isn't an actual super villain. He would almost be like another J Jonah Jameson, except in school.
I think he could be a cross between Mr Strickland in Back to the Future and Edward Rooney the dean of students in Ferris Bueller. Unfortunately, they couldn't really get someone like Jeffrey Jones (who played Rooney in Ferris Bueller) because he's a registered sex offender in real life.
But Alan Ruck would work well. I don't know which is a better look for him though as the antagonistic teacher/principal:

That'd be so ****ing great! He'd have to be in Mr. Peterson's voice the entire time though
Judd Nelson is another good choice.
We'd need the return of ben stein too though!
Peter is out skipping class because Schultz decided to hit a jewelry store during fifth period economics. "Parker...Parker....Parker...."

This is so brilliant.
Any possible role for Giancarlo Esposito? Maybe Robbie?![]()

He'd make a pretty creepy Tombstone.

Tony has height on his side
