As of now I dont really care for the grey hair, but Im sure its just the lighting in the pic and I will hold judgement until a HQ picture shows up. Im curious whats the use of the googles it may just to look cool, because I would think with his mutation that his eyes would be protecting just like his body is running at such high speed.

I really don't get this. If Marvel really is this vindictive (I hope they're not!) it's just sad, the X-men films post the Marvel Studios films have been treated like the red-headed stepchildren.

While Marvel's tow-headed Avengers characters are bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars into Disney's corporate coffers, the red-headed X-Men are bringing in bupkis. As sad as it is, and I don't disagree, the appropriate business strategy for Marvel is to play favorites.

there are many reasons why marvel have hit that point of success that FOX haven't yet and thats because marvel took risks, for example with characters like thor and lets be honest if FOX owned thor they wouldn't do anything with him, infact i'm not even sure they would have done anything with captain america if they owned him

even if X-men was the film that started the comic book movie craze i don't think FOX fully had faith in the X-men franchise in the early 2000s

1. Fox doesn't have many B-listsers like Thor, they have A-listers and F-listers.

2. You don't take risks when you first start out, you play it safe

Not sure i get what you mean. The X-Men movies post Marvel Studios are matching or exceeding the quality of the first two X-Men movies.

If you mean people (MCU fanboys) are dismissive of the X-Men franchise because it's not in Disneys hands then i agree.

As for changing the comics to fit the movies. Look at Hawkeyes outfit, hulk being back in avengers, caps outfit, black widow making a come back, the chitauri entering the 616 and worst of all Nick Fury Jr and agent 'balding'

So you support all the crap DIsney/Marvel are doing to hurt the X-Men:doh:

I don't think you can call Thor (or Cap) B-listers at this point. A character that can headline a successful big-budget Hollywood feature has "moved on up" to the A-List.

One problem for FOX is that they don't have a second A-List character to complement Wolverine. Out of the First Class crew, Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique probably has the most potential for a solo film. And an X-Force movie looks like a smart follow-up to DOFP, as Deadpool has the potential to be a breakout headline character from the "modern" crew.

My preference is that FOX and Disney/Marvel sit down at the negotiating table and reach an agreement that allows all parties to thrive going forward. Since Sony was able to reach an mutually satisfactory agreement with Marvel, I tend to believe that FOX is more to blame for this problem.

People wonder why I don't like the present marvel. And to be fair it started long before disney bought them.

They undid years of Spider-man contunity.

They have taken X-Men to places once few would have guessed.Cyclops Is
hardly recquonable anymore. They are using X-Men characters to bolster
Avengers.Haivng Wolverine,Rogue, and Havok In Avengers Is prime example
of this.

The films should be inspired by films not the other way.I defently hate idea of ultimate line making it's way to 616 universe.Prime example of this Is Nick Fury JR and phasing out Nick Fury.

Hell I am surprised marvel doesn't do what DC did with the new 52.That way they can make ultimate Influenced versions the only versions, and they could just cancle the X-Men titles entirely since they don't have film rights.

So fox with X-Men helps revive the comic book genre and they are bad guy and disney/MS are innocent victims:doh:

Kevin Feige got to where he Is since he worked for Lauren Shuelletr Donnor, was
Involved In devolping first x-men,and after that Avi Arad hired him,and he was promated after arad left marvel.

Marvel owns animatian and comic rights to X-Men and Is also hrting X-Men there too.

If they undo years of story with saying quicksilver and scarlet witch aren't really mutants and magneto's children they will prove just how petty and vindicative they are looking like.

The point of Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch being foreign is to add more diversity and create a dicotomy with other character's values (on top of them being, you know, orphaned twins). They can still do that by making them English (being English doesn't mean you grow up in a big UK city). Making him American completely destroys that...not to mention he doesn't have his sister here.

Hmmm. Well, it would be good if people had accents, but it rarely happens. They either drop them altogether (Black Widow never had a Russian accent), or they sound like a poor effort at an accent, or Americans can't understand the accent and it gets dubbed.

I'd have loved Magneto to have a European accent like he did in the 90s animated series, but McKellen would probably not be able to pull that off convincingly. But he does have much of the same gravitas in his voice and that's enough.

So I doubt Fox's Quicksilver will have an eastern European accent, but I have no issues with the look in those pictures we have glimpsed so far. He does seem to have a silvery-grey colour to his hair and the length of the hair did suit the 70s.

I doubt the Marvel versions of Pietro and Wanda will be identical to the comics either. Joss already ruled out Wanda's red leotard and clearly her pointy headdress/wimple isn't going to be used. I doubt Pietro will have snow-white hair either. What is done to make comic book characters distinctive and colourful can look hokey on film.

An agreement on merchandising would be good. It would probably cost Fox the rights of F4.

Depends on how well Fox's Fantastic Four reboot will do - I have my doubts about it as a viable proposition, to be honest. Fanboys are already turned off Fox's version of the franchise by the previous casting and by the on-screen interpretation of Galactus. Cosmic stuff like Silver Surfer and Galactus fits better with Marvel's more cosmically-oriented movieverse.

There Is nothing Fox will ever do which will sastify MCU fanboys.DOFP can be regarded as best comic book film of 2014 and they would still complain about it not being at disney.

Some are forgetting Marvel was more intrested In Silver surfer and galactus than FF.They offered extension of daredevil rights to get SS and Galactus back. The FF themselves were never discussed.

Everyone agrees the past FF films were bad In particularly their version of
Galactus. But,that regime Is gone. The reboot will be totally different.especilly
since the reboot by all signs looks like adaptan of Ultimate FF.Now rather or not that's good move or not remains to be seen.

ahhh i found 'em...

pics like this are what dash my hopes about this film
he looks terrible

Which is why vindictive as it might sound, I kinda want GOTG to bomb. Never heard of the team, and really only had passing knowledge of Drax from my bro's Adam Warlock comics.

I don't know what you mean by "they wouldn't do anything with" Thor or "they wouldn't do anything with" Captain America. If they had the rights, of course they would make films for those.

I'm seriously beginning to think that Fantastic Four and all their cosmic adventures (and characters like Silver Surfer, Galactus, Skrulls) fit better with Marvel Studios, who have already gone cosmic with Thor, Avengers (Chitauri and Thanos) and the upcoming GoTG.

Fox may be better gradually expanding its X-Men world. Grounding the F4 to fit with the X-Men world may not work because much of the F4 is not grounded at all.

It might work better to trade the F4 rights for X-Men merchandising and TV rights.

The FF rights are a terrific bargaining chip for FOX to bring into any potential negotiation in that the First Family has a great deal of value to Disney/Marvel and the MCU. But they add very little, if anything, to the expanded X-Universe Singer (and now Wadlow) appear to be plotting out going forward. Rather than put an extremely risky and potentially costly reboot into production this fall for release into a year already overstuffed with tentpole franchises, FOX needs to cut a deal.

Month since Comic Con, everybody saw Peters has long hair, now suddenly people expect short hair, where those nerds come from?

Have you ever truly heard of wigs. I'm pretty sure you said something like this on the Blink thread. let me tell what you can do with wigs. During 2005 Halle Berry had this hairstyle.

She was filming X3 during this time but her hair in X3 looked like this:

Do you want to know how they did that? they used a wig. Google it :cwink:

Yup short hair wig for man with long hair, tell me more.
It's 70's, also it's nothing new, he had long hair in comic too:

they have given him white/grey highlights, i think thats as good as its gonna get

Looks similar to silver, maybe Singer will explain why Pietro's hair got grey.

But Evan's hair during the panel was curly blond. Looks nothing like leaked pics so I don't know where you're going with this.

Pietro is the new Ororo when it comes to controversial movie hair

Besides the hair color he looks more like Cannonball or Chase from The Runaways to me.

He looks almost exactly like Chase from Runaways. All he needs is his fistigons and he'd be all set.
