However I am calling BS on that.If Fox can use Maximoff a name hardly ever used in X-Men comics then I think they could use Pietro.By same token as much as Joss Whedon Is talking about quicksilver and Scarlet witch legal troubles could come up by using those names so much when he can't use names in film.

I really doubt it. My guess would be a recruiting scene or something. While I do think he will be through out the film like members of the hellfire club were in FC, he will probably only be important to one action set piece.

Anything beyond that would be a plus and awesome. But knowing this franchise, how many characters are already here, and the reports... I wouldn't get my hopes up at all. Been a let down with too many character roles.

Ooh! This is a surprise. Especially for someone like Quicksilver who it appeared was only in the story because of "a cool sequence" Singer had designed a knee-jerk reaction to The Avengers using Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

This kinda confirms quicksilver in the past scenes.Well assuming they are filming the past stuff right now. Also it seems Pietro will have a bigger role than the one action scene most comic book movie people have been saying.

Or this could be all part of the same sequence, to showcase his speed (ie he goes from his house to where Magneto is, then goes on to perform whatever elaborate act that requires his particular ability).

It wasn't 'most comic book movie people' saying that. It was reported by one of the movie sites, I think it was Hitfix. That report always seemed off to me, and it always did sound a bit suspicious that Singer would stick the character only in one action scene, though we did see that sort of thing in X2 with Colossus, Siryn (screaming like an alarm) and Kitty (dropping through the floor).

Yeah, it was a little suspicious to think that even though the production hadn't released one iota of plot information, they would choose to disclose that bit to entertainment news outlets. I wasn't completely buying it either. I think this pic shows that there's at least one other scene...

Yeah, but with those he cast 3 unknown actors to be glorified extras. Evan Peters may not be a huge star, but he's certainly a more high profile name than Shawn Ashmore was in X1.

Hardly. Not to disparage his fans or anything, and I know he's a good actor and all, but he's hardly that big of a name. He's had one success under his belt in American Horror Story, which while a critical success, doesn't pull in huge numbers. They're big for the FX network yes, but in the grand scheme of things, most other shows would be canned shortly after pulling in the kind of numbers it does. So no, taking a small role in a movie like this is absolutely not beneath Evan. He still has bills to pay like everyone else.
