Thanks for the welcome! I would definitely be your friend! First of all I liked Cate Blanchett since Elizabeth but when she became Galadriel in my all time favorite movie trilogies i permanently became a stan! The way she owned the role of Galadriel, it would be impossible for me to picture another actress as Galadriel. Anyway, Hela is up there in my favorite Cate portrayals. As always, she nailed it. I ended up rooting for her to win against Surtur. I really wished she will be in Infinity War. I read somewhere that there was an instagram post that Josh Brolin posted about being in love while in character as Thanos that he eventually deleted which will probably hint that he might have a love interest in the movie. But I really do not want to get my hopes up although Cate is probably in Atlanta right now filming her other movie but who knows!

It's wonderful to see another Galadriel fan here. My love of all things Cate Blanchett originally grew from of my love for Galadriel as a literary character because I loved her portrayal so much, but went on to become it's own thing. Cate is kinda synonymous with Galadriel for me, I cannot separate them in my mind. Seeing another actress trying to play Galadriel would honestly break my heart a little, the same with Ian McKellen as Gandalf. They are irreplaceable IMO.

But yeah, Hela. I love her, she absolutely needs to be in IW or I don't know what I'll do. That just can't be the last we see of her in the MCU, if so what a waste. I have a very good feeling that she will be in IW though, I have for months. Josh Brolin did indeed make a post on instragram that seems to confirm that Thanos will definitely have a 'love interest' in IW, you can see it just here. Check out his hashtags, the clue is in one of them. And Cate is indeed filming another movie in Atlanta at the moment which seems mighty coincidental to me, how easy would it be to split her time between two sets in the same city? She was also in Atlanta during the filming of IW doing reshoots for Ragnarok, again it would have been pretty easy for them to fit in some filming for IW at the same time if they wanted her too, especially considering Thanos is a motion capture character and all his scenes would be shot on a sound stage rather than an open set.

Would the ring give Galadriel powers like Hela?

Hel(l) yeah, Galadriel was already one of the most powerful beings in Middle-earth without the One Ring (below Gandalf and the other Istari but she was certainly the most powerful elf), with the power of the One Ring she could have brought Middle-earth to it's knees easily.

Now Hela vs. Dark Galadriel, what an epic showdown that would be. I wouldn't even know who to put my money on.

Thanks, Finarfiniel! It was bugging me... When I saw it in 3d yesterday, I focused hard on that moment when Surtur takes Hela out, and I am convinced you are right- there was a green poof right before she would have been nailed.

Yep, there is 100% a very quick flash of green just before Surtur plunges his sword into the ground. It's easy to miss, but it's definitely there. I've seen Ragnarok 5 times now and I missed it the first time, but I've seen it every time since.

Teleported indeed. t: Either that or you could argue that it was her kinda exploding into energy like Odin did when he died, but I still think teleported.

Well i am hoping at least Hela returns otherwise it would be a waste of talent and I just can't see Marvel having Cate be in one film. I mean...ppl are talking some great stuff about her and her performance and you can't go wrong with an incredible actress like her. If she's reluctant to do more, hell yes...give her more to do!!

Cate has already said that she had the most fun playing Hela and that she got fit for the first time. She even joked about being afraid of spoiling something and losing her chance at being in a sequel. Also I think it will be good for Thanos that he has motivations other than just the desire to obliterate and balance the universe. Having someone to impress as one of his motivations can make him more relatable. I mean who hasn't done something to impress someone you like, right? Also imagine the two of them wrecking havoc in the universe, I mean how do you win?

Also I hope they bring back Fenris. I really wanna see Hela riding on Fenris while going to battle!

I also had that question. I assumed what others said, that Odin used some manner of magic to erase the memory of her. Would have been nice to explain that, though. But all in all, she was great. Really hoping she's secretly popping up in Infinity War.

I can take or leave Hela coming back surprisingly. Cate gave a great performance, the character in general came off well but I think they should have spent some more time on her back story and her inner life a bit more. Now guarantee that in her next appearance she would be given some more drama to work with and I have no issue.

I also kinda don't want her to be Thanos' object of affection if she's used in IW. But having her there and seeing some kind of spark between them would be cool. It's just... There would be no impact if Thanos suddenly goes all in on Hela given we've hardly seen Thanos do much of anything. Let them meet and show some connection and then pay it off later.

Loved Hela. I wish to see her on the screen again. I will say we could have used a bit more time with her on Asgard taking over and maybe a little less on Sakaar.

Oh wow, you're not wrong. That's very interesting! I've never heard or read Josh Brolin saying anything about Cate before. It may just be yet another coincidence and he's simply a bit of a fan of hers, but seriously, how many weird little 'coincidences' are there going to be? If I made a post setting out every little hint or little scrap of evidence I've managed to gather that supports Hela secretly being in IW, it'd be a pretty lengthy post. I feel like a detective looking for clues. t:

Pretty damn cool, I love Andy Park's concept art. I have to say though that I'm very glad that they ended up going with a much more comics accurate look for Hela. That headdress is too tame, Hela just isn't Hela without her big crazy antlers. t:
