Chaper 72/73 - Upon This Rock/Let It Bleed 1/4/09

So how is it that nobody noticed Peter mysteriously got healed from a gunshot wound and left the crime scene?? Especially since he was the one who saved the hostages. You'd think he'd have a lot of eyes on him right?? I know this is a show about superpowers so it requires some suspension of disbelief but come on this is getting ridiculous that the general public isn't noticing these things.

Every one was having a too good of a time because they had something do to.

So, he got the power from West...so he can't hold multiple powers?

Great episode but man I can't stand Claire! Why can't they just kill her off!!?? :argh:

I really wish they would have Peter get his Empathic Mimic powers back, and make it so he can have more than one power at a time. Between Syler and now Samuel, it obvious that characters in this universe can have multiple powers.

I completely agree. He NEEDS them its not that I WANT him to have them, this is purely NEEDED now. Also where is Parkman in all this?

I'll be honest...I almost fell asleep during both episodes...I ended up cooking dinner off and on while watching...

I think i'm only watching not because of T-Bag (that's who he is to me!!), Peter and Hiro now...and I want to see how it all ends.

I agree that Peter needs his empathic mimicry back..this tacto-mimicry is a pain in the ass haha. the question is how do you go about it and make it part of his journey as a character? maybe they'll use Nathan's death as a catalyst for Peter to develop his tacto-mimicry so that he'll be able to hold on to more than one power at a time and retain them.

GameFaqs:

It looks like Peter is regaining his ability to its full potential. I know he asked Claire to call West at the end, but if you watch it carefully, when he starts to fly, its like he wasn't expecting it and was surprised. Plus, he was looking at the picture of Nathan...

Wishful thinking I don't know...I have to watch the scene again.

I still prefer to think of Peter as having his original ability still, but due to his lack of empathy for himself, it is causing it to not function properly. Once he begins to "let people back in" rather than shut them out as he was during the last chapter is when I think, or hope, his ability begins to return to normal; and I think Emma is the character that would be the catalyst for this. That in turn has her serve a dual purpose; to either help Peter become a savior in a sense, or to destroy people as we saw in the preview.

I don't really want Peter's empathic mimickry to come back. It's kind of ridiculous to have a character have everyone's power, especially since he is a protagonist out of a group of protagonists. Not only does he make every other character redundant, but its hard to create a worthy opponent for such a character. Even Sylar isn't as powerful as fully powered Peter. Even if you have the majority of the cast sit on the sideline like they did in the Season 1 finale (which it would make no sense if they did at this point because practically every hero now has offensive capabilities), Peter could still easily take out Sylar and any other villain they throw at him.

That being said, I think Peter will probably get his powers back eventually, but it'll probably be for the series finale.

As for the two episodes, they were pretty good. It was awesome seeing Samuel take out Sylar and seeing Peter going vigilante. I was expecting to find out what Matt and Tracy were up to though.

I wonder what Sylar wants with Claire, again. And yeah seeing him get owned by Samuel was great.

First episode was a total bore. Im sick or Hiro.

Second was much better. A good episode.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the stuff he told her about them both being the only ones who can't die back in Volume 4. Now that Sylar is afraid he's going to be alone, I'm guessing he wants Claire to be his girlfriend.

Ugh, they make it out Claire is some blond beauty like Ali Larter, but she looks like one of those little women like the girl who plays Lisa Simpson. Blah. They keep calling her Barbie, but she's more like the little sister barbie doll...

I know certain Mod's may not like that (sorry Morg), but it's my taste and opinion. Panties 9or whatever the hell her nick-name is) is not that hot, dammit.

Dear Heroes,

Please let Hiro's brain tumor kill him.

And do it quickly.

Love, Luck, Lollipops,
A Fan

I'm tired of Hiro. Very tired. His attitude, how he treats Ando, his stupid subplots where something crazy is always affecting his state of mind or what have you, I'm done. Done with Hiro. Let him die. Sooner rather than later.

Everything else was okay about the episodes. Not a fan of Sylar still, but was nice to see Samuel give him what for (and the line about him being Impotent made me chuckle). But Claire was /yawn. Peter is getting more interesting, but I think they just need to give him his original ability back. This tactical stuff is... well it just seems contrived to me. Oh well.

Preach!!! I guess you can tell I hate Claire huh. :awesome:

I COMPLETELY agree! I don't even think that's that good looking. Body wise she looks very short and stubby. Besides being a boring character (no offense to the actress) she's just not all that interesting to look at.

Ugh, Panties 9or whatever the hell

:funny: Chick is hot. She is a lil ill porportioned, but she's the ****. And she's Superman.

:highfive:
I'm of the mind keep Ando and merk Hiro, who is dull as hell. I root for whoever he's at odds with.

And yeah seeing him get owned by Samuel was great.

That was hard, now I know what Marvel Zombies will look like.

By what I saw, Sylar still has the mimicry and doesn't have to kill to get their ability?

If so, then he is just unstoppable now even more than before.

I got to admit, Samuel is the best bad guy ever made for this show. Loved the way he schooled Syler and sandblasted him.

Could really, really do with less Claire, ended up fast forwarding through most of her stuff.

Also...
Peter can Fly, so does this mean he can have multiple powers again?

I finally caught up with this and it was awesome to see Samuel get the upperhand on Sylar but that needed to happen anyways. The buildup for Samuel has been great. The only things i don't like or should say havent been really interesting is the stuff with Hiro (can't wait for that to be over) and Claire's storyline has been somewhat dull compared to everything else that is going on.
