Well, Patrick Bateman was the role that endeared him to many Batfans in their eyes as a pick for Bruce Wayne.

Bale seems to be getting progressively skinnier with each movie. I had hoped he get back in BB shape at least. Despite the context of 8 years later.

As much as I love the new picture of Bale as Bruce Wayne, these pictures remind me how comic book perfect Bale was in Begins. God, I miss fatface Bale! Compare:

It's kind of startling how young he look in Begins, considering it wasn't that long ago. You can definitely see his progression through the films.

It really is. Which is really cool actually. Even as Batman you can tell he's aged through these past movies. That's why I think I've really liked how he looks like Batman in TDKR. His wrinkles and more emphasized lines on his face make him look more like the seasoned Batman that is a legend.

Come to think about it, Bale's age is more or less close to Nolan's Bruce Wayne throughout the series. Both their bodies went through some physical toll too. Just substitute Bruce Wayne's everyday crime fighting with Bale's extreme weight loss/gain.

BB (shot in 2004):
Bruce - 30 years old
Bale - 30 years old

TDK (shot in 2007):
Bruce - 31 years old
Bale - 33 years old

TDKR (shot in 2011):
Bruce - 39 years old
Bale - 37 years old

Yeah. Also I think "playboy Bruce" is gone. It's pretty telling that when Bruce appeared at the masked ball, he was alone. Someone suggested (Rag I think?) that it might be his first appearance in a long while. I can see that happening. With just his luck, he finally appeared on a public event but then he got scolded by some hot chick wearing a cat mask and ears.
