If they killed each other via train why didn't Cobb just shoot her and be done with it. They had lived a full "dream" life anyway

As an alternative to finding the little safe in her subconscious and planting the idea that their world is not real. I'd imagine Cobb himself would have become tired of the dream world and they killed themselves later anyway

He couldn't even shoot his projection of her, what makes you think he could shoot the real her?

They killed themselves by a train so we could watch a train drive down the street in level one of the dream.

Hardy Signed On For An 'Inception' Sequel

You might have been thinking that once the 83rd Annual Academy Awards passed that all the talk about "Inception" would be over and done with. That's not entirely what Christopher Nolan has in mind, or so we've been told by Tom Hardy. During an interview on a UK TV show, Hardy lets it slip that he's signed up for more "Inception" films.

Wait a minute, they wrapped up pretty much everything at the end of "Inception." How can there be room to make another film? If you've seen "Inception" then maybe you can concoct a way to continue the story, but it seems some-what near impossible to. At the same time, Hardy did say he's not entirely sure another "Inception" movie would happen but he is signed on in case it becomes a reality. At least we'll be able to see him all bulked up as Bane in months to come for Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises."

Should there be another "Inception" film or is one enough for you?

I saw the interview. His wording was kind of muddled. He said he wasn't totally sure, but he mentioned that most (if not all - we're talking blockbuster here, mind you) contracts nowadays come with a sequel option automatically attached, and he believes that there was one with Inception as well.

I personally wouldn't put too, too much stock in there being a sequel, even with the sequel option being part of the contract. Probably a precaution by WB, or perhaps it factors into the video game or something down the road.

I don't get how people don't see how another Inception could be made. They made a movie about people doing something that wasn't supposed to be done.

Next time around they just make a movie where they are agents trying to get info from someone. Like the beginning of the movie. Not really that hard to think up.

I can see how a sequel could be made, but it is an awesome stand-alone film and I really don't think it needs that. Not unless it's Batman-style and there is some sort of epic Inception trilogy done... that'd be pretty cool.

A sequel with different characters (or just a few returning) would be cool. But I think Cobb's story is done.

I would prefer the INCEPTION video game Nolan talked about, perhaps with Hardy/Eames as the protagonist. Hell they could use the story Eames told about performing Inception

I think a sequel called EXTRACTION would be cool.
Leo doesn't need to be in it. His story is done.
Furthering the potential love story between Arthur and Ariadne (Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page) would be interesting.
Bring Eames back (Tom Hardy).
The three of them could be the "trio" that returns, with new cast members.

The plot could center around going three layers deep again, but this time, instead of planting an idea, they need to remove one. In this case, they need to remove the thing that triggered a serial killer into becoming a murderer. A traumatic event that happened in his life that made his memories turn into the idea of killing. The serial killer would be none other than Christian Bale.

Or something.
