I don't know which place is worse, the BOF forums or Nolan-Fans forums. Bunch of Nazi's. They hate everyone, every other director, except Nolan. You can't say anything bad about Nolan or his films.

Um, there's a reason why it's called NolanFans, you know. :oldrazz:

It is a fan forum. There are plenty of other places on the Internet to trash Nolan. :oldrazz: Besides, NolanFans is a lot more laid back than B-O-F. Some of the mods at NolanFans will criticize the hell out of his movies if they feel it's warranted. But I swear some of the most prominent posters at B-O-F are psychopaths. If you bring up a pretty blatantly obvious flaw in his Batman movies, such as the voice, they'll try to spin it into the greatest thing ever. Not to mention they typically write 10 paragraph long posts. I think you might have an idea of who I'm talking about.

Nolan is pure class.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/awa...rs-guild-awards-inception-social-network.html

In accepting his award, Nolan touched on the exclusion of big-name films that were kept out of contention under WGA rules.

"Nine years ago I had a lot of success for 'Memento.' It was excluded," he said. "Nothing is more important than recognition from my peers. There were some notables left off the list this year."

"I'm not going to name them, for fear that it boosts their chances at the other show," he said, referring to the Feb. 27 Academy Awards. "I hope next year the person who stands up here can give thanks without qualification."

Eh, I really liked The King's Speech but it's no where near what TSN and Inception accomplished.

But congrats to Nolan glad that his peers recognize his talent.

God, I just know TKS is gonna win pretty much everything (hopefully Bale gets Best Supporting) but I think it's gonna win Best Picture. The film looks great, but I wished something like TSN got it.

WTF

He's saying, "If you ask me anymore questions about The Dark Knight Rises at this point, the vest comes off and I will murder your ass. Then be vague about the details when the police question me."

I agree that the Nolan love goes far on here. Yes, great director. But, he's not perfect. BB had flaws. TDK had flaws. Etc. But, people act like they're perfect films and he is incapable of making mistakes or that anything he attaches himself to is destined to succeed. That is not the case with ANYONE. I love Nolan. But, the love goes too far.

And for the record, I think Inception should win BP, though it has no chance. I'm just saying he gets TOO much love.

Here he does get a lot of love yes, but of course this is a small collection of very devoted fans. In the general public I still believe he's very under the radar, the name Christopher Nolan certainly does not ring as familiar as say, Spielberg or Scorsese. In time I think that will change however.

yes it will change. he will be very big in the next 10 years.

That is definitely possible. The only two directors names you can mention to an average joe and they'll know is Spielberg and Cameron.

Following
Memento
Insomnia
Batman Begins
The Prestige
The Dark Knight
Inception
The Dark Knight Rises

... Does anybody have a better consecutive streak of films than this dude? Seriously. Not even Spielberg or Scorsese can claim it. I'm sorry, I'm a fanboy, I love him, and I don't care if others made Raging Bull and Raiders of the Lost Ark. That was 30 years ago. Nolan owns 21st Century cinema. Only one of his films was in the 90s.

Finally got around to seeing Inception the other day. And after hearing all the hype. It still supassed my expectations. It was an amazing film.

I immediately got enraged that he isn't nominated for BD. I have a bad feeling that Fincher is going to win. After all the amazing films Fincher has done, he is probably going to win for his least directed.

So do you all think the token fell?
