Christopher Nolan's Inception

Following
Memento
Insomnia
Batman Begins
The Prestige
The Dark Knight
Inception
The Dark Knight Rises

... Does anybody have a better consecutive streak of films than this dude? Seriously. Not even Spielberg or Scorsese can claim it. I'm sorry, I'm a fanboy, I love him, and I don't care if others made Raging Bull and Raiders of the Lost Ark. That was 30 years ago. Nolan owns 21st Century cinema. Only one of his films was in the 90s.

Why are you including a movie that hasn't even been made yet?:doh::doh::doh:

Apparently the Academy agrees with you. :cwink:

Don't get me wrong, he should win BD IMO this year, but that doesn't mean I can't find fault in his work. He's easily one of the best directors out there today, but it just gets ridiculous.

I wish this movie, or really any of the other nominees actually had a chance in hell of winning best picture over the kings speech.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but I haven't seen it before:

Inception won a Best Special Effects BAFTA!

Inception won a Best Special Effects BAFTA!

yeah that was a relief :) production design and sound won too !!

everything else lost :( i had hopes that a least best original screenplay
would go to nolans vest :/

roger deakins won best cinematography over wally.. its close, but true grit looks great though

That photo is missing the great and all powerful Wally.

Their combined presence in the same room, let alone the same building is not safe, black holes could tear open at any minute.

Two gods, descending upon us!:wow:

Awesome picture.

I think it's crazy how far Nolan has come.

Following
Budget: $6,000
Domestic Gross: $48,482

Memento
Budget: $9 million
Worldwide Gross: $39,723,096

Insomnia
Budget: $46 million
Worldwide Gross: $113,714,830

Batman Begins
Budget: $150 million
Worldwide Gross: $372,710,015

The Prestige
Budget: $40 million
Worldwide Gross: $109,676,311

The Dark Knight
Budget: $185 million
Worldwide Gross: $1,001,921,825

Inception
Budget: $160 million
Worldwide Gross: $823,576,195

Nothing has tanked yet. Everything has been pure profit. The Dark Knight Rises will obviously follow suit.

I wish The Prestige would have had the proper opening/legs/etc. it deserved...

This film probably has the most happiest and cheerful ending celebrating a heinous crime and possibly ruining someone's life. I mean just listen to the victorious music after they wake up on the plane.

And that's hilarious!

Yeah, they kind of did a bad thing when you think about it. :woot:

And Cobb's a muderer. It's like a chemist testing a new chemical on his wife despite knowing that there could be terrible consequences.
If they killed each other via train why didn't Cobb just shoot her and be done with it. They had lived a full "dream" life anyway
