Ok, so I never really post much on here... I mostly just lurk around.. and this is actaully the first thread I've ever started.. but for those of you who have read Frontline #2 you saw that Norman was in prison correct? I mean for a while I thought that guy and the girl standing next to him might have been the Stacy Twins, but I don't think that would make much sense. Now as far as I was concerned the last we saw of GG was in Millar's last issue of MK SM were they weren't able to find his body in the river and Norman sent Peter a letter. So did I miss something were they put Norman in prison again or is this as I suspect and which is most likely the case that Marvel screwed up like they always do because they can't write an issue that doesn't contradict something else they wrote?

And I have another question. Is the Civil War: Frontline worth it? I'm not sure If I should or not..

My guess was that someone (possibly SHEILD) must have caught him. Whoever they are they seemed hostile to Peter... like they planned to use Norman... AND they knew what his reaction would be? I want to know HOW?!

Umm so far it's pretty good. It mostly just covers stuff that would just take up too many pages in the actual Civil War issues but through the eyes of Ben Urich. If you have a couple of extra bucks on you every week then I would recommend getting it. That is if you want to go more in depth with the whole Civil War arc.

Gotta love the Frontline. So much info and I'm not bored with it yet.

Frontline has been great so far. Both issues have been better then the actual Civil War series itself.

Gotta agree with you there. Frontline is the highlight of the Civil War issues for me. It's got real, solid information.

Paul Jenkins really has a great feel for it and the entire concept of the Civil War. Civil War has been "alright" so far but Front Line has just been amazing. To me..its a far more more exciting, detailed and interesting read.

Yeah. It's all there in Frontline. Where in the actual Civil War title it's not all there. Too many questions leftover.

i think civil war and frontline are both great. i dont think either is better than the other

Norman obviously was captured by someone...looks like Shield (or maybe that organization that creates supervillains to keep superheroes busy)...we may get more details on that in further issues...

Loved issue #2! What did you guys think of Prodigy's arrest?

And Speedball's incarceration? Should he have signed that paper for the government?

I thought Speedball did the right thing. I'm completely against the goverment on this whole issue. I was so hoping that Prodigy would beat down on Iron Man. Tony has been such an annoying prick the entire time this Civil War has been going on. I'm really praying for someone to knock him out.

I think so.

I'll have to have the issue in front of me to get some of the arguments right, but the story started veerng into thinly veiled political statements... trying to draw comparisons to currents events... and they really didn't work or fit THIS situation.

And while Speedball didn't create the explosion, he does own some responsibility. They initiated and executed an attack on some very dangerous villains who were no immediate threat to anyone, in close proximity to a school -- for the publicity.

Don't you know if Peter had been in his position -- after a fight that ended up killing many civillians -- he would have owned some responsibility. Of course, Peter does assume too much guilt at times.

But I doubt that Peter would have chased a guy who obviously can blow things up at will, towards a school full of kids. He is usually cognizant of dangers to bystanders, because he cares about others getting hurt. He has NOT gone after a villain to protect them.

Obviously, some collatoral damage is sometimes going to happen... but in this case...

Have'nt read Front Line #2 yet, but I loved number one. I agree with previous posters who say that Front Line makes Civil War a much "deeper" read. Its good stuff.

I heard that Frontline #1 wasn't that great.

Anyway, as for Norman being in prison...I didn't read Frontline #2, but didn't Sins Past happen sometime relatively soon after Millar's run on MK Spidey? I seem to remember a panel somehwere in the story arc in which we saw Norman in prison, and some people were confused because he hadn't been recaptured yet...

Someone WILL i think...but that someone will be Peter. I dont think Prodigy is any kind of a match for Iron Man, especially drunk as he was...

You dont think so? I thought detaining Speedball and denying him the right to legal counsel under the guise of being a "combatant" was VERY comparable to current events. Look at Guantanemo, for example.

I think Norman's reaction was awesome. "YOU BROKE THE RULES!!!"

I'm hoping that Marvel actually explains why Osborn is in prison, or at least detained. I was under the impression, like many others, that Norman was free and roaming around. It's the impression I got from the biggest let down in comics history, Marvel Knights Spider-Man. Yes, lets have two of Spidey's deadliest enemies attacking at the same time AND HAVE THEM GET HIT BY LIGHTNING!!! YES!! THAT WILL GIVE THE FANS THEIR MONEY'S WORTH!

Bleh. It's a sore spot, I know....

Paul Jenkins is definitely the cats pajamas for writing this series. Why he stopped writing Spectacular Spider-Man I'll never know...he was such an awesome writer for Spidey. :(

That was definitely SHIELD that was talking to Norman. What if the people that set up Supervillains for heroes WAS SHIELD?

CW:FL has been awesome. Right up there with CW in my opinion.

One other thing.. for anyone that read ASM #33 (correct me if it's 32 but it's the issue that just came out) it shows Doc Ock in a warehouse watching Peter on TV. Now the last I read about Doc Ock was again in MK SM when they were able to recover his body out of the river but not Norman's. Are we assuming Doc Ock escaped then too? Cuz I could have sworn he was captured.
