Clark not flying..Its just getting stupid....

Look at it this way, he's not flying and there are still millions of fans out there that can't get enough of SV. It's all about the suspense, the more people that tune in to see whether the next episode will have Clark flying, the more money the show/network makes... You see, people are making money out of our misery... :(
haha, nice try

I don't see it like that, I see it as they have everything planned out, especially when Clark will begin flying.

Stop watching bet they'll allow him to fly, when the ratings drop.

I think by the time we see Clark flying, Tom Welling will have grey hair and wrinkles.

His skin might be too saggy to even fit in the spandex they might eventually make him wear for a 2 second scene at the end of the series.

Although it's getting late in the programme, i don't mind clark not flying if the reason is valid enough

it's easier to get spotted in smallville
fear of heights
it'll be the definitive moment that separates him for humans
Flight is activated by agression and he's scared of losing it to try it out
flight is gained by endorphins with losing virginity (in kryptonian body) and he's scared of trying it out.

However what they have given us so far is just kinda....weak.

I don't even see it being that expensive in comparison to the super running, besides, he doesn't have to do it all the time

I just read this from a TV Guide interview with Gough...

You know if by the end of the season he isn't flying fine. I will be pissed. It just seems ridiculous that he can't. Kara could fly with no problem and she never grew up on Earth. Clark flew as Kal-El and Bizarro. I think it just seems ridiculous that at 20 years old he still can't fly. :whatever:  :cmad:

I agree 100% with you it would be pathetic if he can't fly by the end of the season.

So far they have broken their own bloddy rules anyway! He has been seen floating above a bed as Clark and we have seen part of the costume aswell. Hypocrites. :o

I actually disagree with a lot of people here. I don't mind that they never used flying, and I don't mind that they want to wait till the last episode, but the power has lost all of its magic and appeal. Instead of building to the last episode and Clark realizing "Holy ****, I can fly!", with Kara flying around, Clark has become the only kid in the class who doesn't know how to read. Every single person who knows Clark's secret knows now that he will eventually be able to fly. Instead of an awe-inspriing moment, it'll be more like, "Jesus, its about time you started flying." No magic. :(

I wholeheartedly agree here. If he could not fly and learnned by the end and as such discoverred something new I could understand but having everybody do it before him belittles his capabilities.

That's...poorly thought-out. Risk getting the show canceled just for flight?

Smooth.
Well if they have people watching now, they'll want to extend this show as much as they can which could mean waiting a few more seasons till we finally see him fly.

Even if he does not fly like I have mentiod I have seen Tom the actor fly even if in different roles like Bizaro.

I'd just like to know how many of you could fly at 20 eh? :oldrazz:

:D

If I had powers like Clark I sure as hell would not waste time in trying to figure them out. If I know it can be done I would keep trying untill I get it right.....yes at least by the age of 20.

At this point I cant see Clark flying until Lana makes a mention of it.

there were some nice flying scenes in heroes.

Like most fans, I'd love to see Clark finally take to the skies; however, there's one valid reason (from a story point) why he hasn't yet...he's still desperate to be one of us.

As much evidence as he recieves (powers, relatives, messages from his homeworld) to prove he isn't human, the Boy of Steel still desires mortality. To him, flying is the proverbial "last straw". As the Martian Manhunter says during Bizarro, "once you make this choice, there's no going back". In the end, Kal-El will have to put the farmboy aside, and embrace his heritage completely. Until then, he'll be grounded.

They STILL havn't had him fly full time yet? Ugh, this show is worse than Lois & Clark at this point. Well, outside of Clark not wearing glasses and being around people who will know him as Superman, it already had that show beat, but still...

?

You mean that he won't fly untill Lana asks him too?

No I dont think he will realize how big of a deal it is until Lana maybe ask's him about it and what not. I can just see it being an emotional thing if his girl is asking then he will want to prove it to her.

I see. Although that does make sense I would rather have Lana or someone in danger and his only option is to fly to rescue that person. Force the idiot to fly.
