Clark not flying..Its just getting stupid....

Yes, they did throw Lex and Lois in a bit early, but that proves for more theatrical episodes. Without Lex, there would be no GOOD Lana gone MYSTERIOUS!!!! Without Lois, there would be no Daily Planet. Lois Lane is the worlds eyes and ears to Superman. Lex Luthor is and will always be, Supermans ARCH ENEMY!!!!!!

Amen lets here it for Lex :)

Last episode would'v been a perfect time to have Clark fly when he jumped off that building to save Lana.

They should've have him stop i mid jum and start to go upwards toward the roof.

But they blew a great chance to show it. I don't get this.

He did fly, sorta....

He accelerated to faster than she was falling. It's close... He'll fly this year, it's the one reason Kara can fly and he can't.

He's going to try harder to learn.

He better try harder! Or I'm gonna go to that farm in Smallville and whoop his beef cake ass!

:p

Yeah, I know,m but I just thought it would'v been perfect for him to just take off in the air with Lana in his arms.

He should took off toward the roof at the end of this scene.

Still a great scene though.

He did show great control while falling though.....very close.

Tom is definitly very graceful when he is in the wire harness. He looks really good.

I think that was one of Clark's most supermanish episodes. He was performing rescues left and right.

you're right. he certainly did blow a good chance to expose his powers to the actress chick. :whatever:

I don't think he should have taken off, but I do think he should have slowed his fall, so he just touched down on the ground, instead of slamming into that SUV.

Another episode, another tease. They are gonna keep this up for a while. Obviously Clark learning to fly is gonna span a few episodes. Lana should have died there.:whatever:

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I could have sworn I heard a sound effect when Clark was falling, flying, falling with style, whatever you want to call it.

i'm just guessing here...but since they didn't use last night's perfect opportunity of free falling to let Clark fly..I'm assuming that if we ever see Clark fly and it isn't the series finale..that it'll probably be him saving a plane..(course not to the degree like they did in the movie) but nevertheless yea...I mean if he were to fly saving a person like he did Lana then it wouldn't be "original" anymore i guess.

I think that's meant to show suspense more than anything... I bet half of the viewers were shouting, "Come on... Fly!!"

:p

I know for a fact, I was definitly one of those viewers souting, COME ON @#$%ING FLY ALREADY!!!!!! Although, all of you are correct in what each are saying. That was a perfect oppertunity for Clark to fly with the love of his newly discovered life held tightly in his arms. The only problem that the writers and producers and every on this project knew was........WE WERE ALL EXPECTING CLARK TO FLY!!!! Therefore, Clark didn't fly.... They're going to have clark fly when we least expect it....

Now let's see a show of hands on how many of you agree!!!!!!

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I really try to suspend reality when watching any superhero/fantasy show but how on earth is he to explain what happened to that SUV.:whatever: If that was my ride I'd be lookin for answers.

I have a sneaking suspicion that in a "falling Lois" scenario, the writers would probably pull a repeat of Hypnotic, where Clark jumps over the rail, falls past Chloe, and catches her before she hits the ground. They already used a similar situation in Legacy, where Clark caught Jonathan after he fell off the roof.

This is as good a time as any to bring this up:

There is no way anyone can jump and fall faster than someone else who is already falling... Unless they are made of feathers, or have a parachute, or something.

When Clark does this, he is actually flying downward past them, and is unaware of it.

In the second half of Tempest (1st ep of Season 2) he tells his folks that he thinks he was flying when he rescued Lana.

When he is hit by a major force and is not expecting it, he will get knocked far away, like anyone else would... But when he is expecting a collision, like a car hitting him, or catching a car like the time Chloe first saw him using his powers, he is able to do this because he can hold his position in space. No amount of strength or invulnerability can enable him to catch and hold something many times his own weight, and set it down in front of him, or stand firm with a car hitting him full-on, without the ability to hold firm his own position in space.

His ability to control his position in space, is the source of any ability to fly.

And you know what? I enjoyed that show waay more than Smallville. But yeah, the bulk of my beef is with Clark not flying, I don't really mind the rest. It seems as though they are saving it for the series finale. LOL

Glad you could enjoy that show more, with the robots that could beat him up, even though he could withstand being hit by a car with ease.

What I liked about that show was the Lois/Clark/Superman thing... I thought the "powers" were rather poorly done in that show.
