This movie comes out in 4 months and the only piece of marketing is a picture in a magazine.
Also, I just saw this film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman, responsible of GREAT, AWARD WORTHY films like the texas chainsaw massacre prequel and battle:la, oh, did I forget to mention that one of the writers worked in red riding hood?....

This movie is ****ed.

Wait until we get a trailer. Or better yet, the movie.

Director track records aren't always indicative of how good/bad the movie will be. It has different writers plus a new director this time around -- and it can't be worse than the remake. The plot sounds a lot better this time around, and you can't go wrong with Bill Nighy, Ralph Fiennes and Rosamund Pike in the same movie.

^exactly people were excited because leterrier made the very solid Incredible Hulk

and look what happened

You completely disregarded that he said "Director track records aren't always indicative of how good/bad the movie will be."

Then why are they just plopping this out into March without even giving us ONE TRAILER OR POSTER? I figure they're trying to compete with John Carter or The Hunger Games, but at least those movies are currently being promoted right now. One EW pic isn't gonna cut it, WB.

Also, have you even SEEN Battle Los Angeles or Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning? Jonathan Libesman directed those, too, and they sucked! He's a hack who just steals certain elements of stuff from other movies just to make himself look talented. For example, with TCM: TB Libesman was notorious in deliberately changing Sheldon Turner's original draft of script around drastically because he didn't like how Leatherface was fleshed out so much as a character (no really, look up that particular draft; it's actually a lot better than what we ended up getting). That's why in the final cut it feels like Letherface's playing second fiddle to R. Lee. Ermey's character of Charlie Hewett (the fake sherif guy from the remake), even the movie's SUPPOSED to be about HIS origin, not Charlie's!

With that in mind, I wouldn't be too surprised if this turns out to be another generic, crappy film from a director who's equally generic and crappy in terms of filmmaking. Say what you will about the last movie, but at least it was fun (despite the **** 3-D conversion). This is probably gonna get even WORSE reviews due to who's directing it. Brace yourselves for the worst, gents.:csad:

a hack? i dont think Jonathan Libesman is part of the writting team on his movies. he is very cheap for the studio. so he directs what the studio needs. this movie is a big rushed project .

your opinion is way to strong for a guy who is just doing what the studio tells him.

I've seen Battle: L.A.. I wasn't impressed, but Liebesman did an okay job with Darkness Falls. Haven't seen the Chainsaw prequel, I usually avoid most PD remakes beforehand.

The reason I said that "directors' previous movies aren't always an indicator of how good/bad an upcoming movie is" is because it could be better or worse. Sylvestor Stallone was a laughing stock because he wanted to do Rocky Balboa, and that movie ended up being pretty good. But then after that we got Rambo and The Expendables.

F*** that looks awesome

BUt I said that about the first one and I hated it. I hope this one actually turns out good because it looks sick

Looks terrible and more of the same, sam running and screaming and big fake looking cgi monsters. $10 says this bombs. Im just shocked they went through with a sequel given how much hatred was spawned for the first movie. Is it bad that GI JOE 2 got me excited and this made me yawn?

Cause The Rock, Bruce Willis and Ray Park kick ass and Sam worthington´s acting is as bland as a piece of paper?

Trailer looks okay but I really wish they'd stop using popular rock and pop songs in trailers for these supposedly epic movies. It just takes me out of it.

Looks good! Better than the first movie!

It was nicely edited trailer but I dunno, I'll still be cautious towards the movie despite that I'm glad that Letterrier didn't return.

No Davalos and no Arterton. It's gonna be hard not to miss them. Pike looks good but why the hell did they change Andromeda's hair color?

I gotta feeling it will be the same as last time. Good trailer, bad movie also did someone do a suplex at the end of the trailer?

Doesn't look like an improvement over the first. Must I say that I wish Sam had a ponytail, or slick back his crazy mane of his.

1. From the director of Battle LA.
I imagine the film will have lot of promise but fall short in terms of relevance and staying power. Especially if the competition brings it.

2. Pike is a fox.

3. Lots of low angle shots of giants swinging their arms like in the last one.
I think this is a waste of money CG can be used so much more effectively.

4. Here's an experiment. Watch this trailer with the Gladiator music.
