Saw it earlier. Good, not great. Did like the little wink, wink moment with Bill Nighy when
he realizes that Perseus is who he is and says, "you're that Perseus? "Release the Kraken" and all that?"

Yeah sorry but I'm going to see this tomorrow. It looks like popcorn fun.

There was literally no build up to

the relationship between Perseus and Andromeda. And the fact that they recasted the character didn't help either.

I saw it, and it's a fun popcorn movie. Not memorable, but still a little better than "Clash".

All you do is encourage them people. Let this franchise die, help kill it off.

We keep giving Worthington work. That's right, I don't like his ass.

That's what I wish would happen to the Resident Evil franchise.

I think the best work he's done was in that Call of Duty commercial. :funny: He could be a good leading man if only he was a better actor but sadly that's not the case.

maybe just maybe people go see this and similair films

to be entertained :oldrazz:

many people go to movies for just escapism

and just have fun watching big epic action battle with good cgi and big scale battles

no one is going to this film for acting, story,or dialouge

Come on. The film is predicted to bring in $31M its opening weekend (which was originally supposed to nab $34M-40M, which was $20M less than the 2010 film's opening), and unless it has solid multiples or a hefty international gross -- there won't be a third film. So relax.

That said, the film doesn't leave many open gaps for a third film anyway. But I was shocked at how good the 3D conversion was -- the difference between that and its predecessor's rush job is night and day. WB and Prime Focus should be proud of themselves for that.

Just came back with a friend, we both thought it was really cool. Definitely more action from the first.

Background: I liked the first, love everything about greek mythology, and I'm an orphan so I'm usually biased to movies that include that.

8/10

This was way better than the first. The action was fantastic, and the visual effects are really stunning! For 99 minutes I felt it was worth it, giving an action beat every few minutes to keep me on my feet. The story wasn't the best, but the characters were likable.

I've never seen something like this done in a movie before. The movie was an epic experience, especially the last battle against Cronus.

I watched it in IMAX and it was fantastic. It was everything I expected it to be. The only disappointment was not seeing Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos. I give it a 7.5 IMDB score.

The escapism arguments for movies like this ring hollow. Escapism doesn't need to equal crap. There is plenty of good escapism supporting movies like this just keeps hollywood setting the bar low for "escapism".

I loved it! Finally a movie does the gods and Cronos justice. Seeing Zeus and Hades kick ass side by side was worth the price of admission alone. For someone who loves mythology as much as I do seeing it on screen was wonderful. I don't care if the first one sucked I got what I wanted out of this one and enjoyed the hell out of it!

And omg the visuals! That last battle was visually mindblowing. Some of the best CGI I've seen.

I would prefer that WB end this franchise, WB will not consider making a Wonder Woman movie as long as Clash Of Titans / Wrath Of Titans franchise exists.

But if movies based on Greek mythology do not perform well then again WB might think that making a Wonder Woman movie is not worth a risk.

So, I want this particular movie to do average business, that is it should not crash but I do not want it to be a great success.

How does this movie compere to Immortals ?

I thought besides the end battle and a few other moments Immortals sucked. My expectations were a bit high on it though. Thought Wrath handled the Gods, a titan and the Labyrinth better. There both not great films. I did find this one more enjoyable, it just moves from one big set piece to the next.

Wow that commercial was amazing.

I like Worthington, i think he's a likeable guy. It's just... he doesn't seem to have that "it" factor like the other action movie greats. You look at the Arnies, the Slys, the Willis', the Statham's... they've all got something distinct about them them. But Worthington doesn't really have that.

Worthington does have great luck, he will be seen in the James Cameron's Avatar sequel.

That was more than amazing. Seriously, they should pair Worthington and Hill for a live-action Call of Duty movie. If Hill could recapture that 21 Jump Street magic... Worthington would be suitable there.

Immortals, although I was a part of making it, really didn't do anything for me. It didn't dive into the mythology or really seem to honor it that much visually. While Clash and Wrath do both. Immortals' minotaur for example was just a guy in a metallic mask, I mean, seriously? I should be biased with this movie since I'm connected to it. But mythology wise, and even pacing wise? Wrath was the much truer film.

To me this film is more than just escapism, like Immortals was, in that it brings the mythology to life and seems to have a lot more heart behind it. And sometimes enjoyment value means more. Ex: Was Hunger Games a better crafted film? Yes. Did I enjoy it more? No. Wrath was the better experience.

The sad thing about Wrath is that it's perfectly entertaining as it is, and if the first was written and directed as well as this one it would have been much more well received, but people were so put off by Clash that they're pretty much predisposed to want to hate Wrath. You want an example? look at the first few pages of this thread.

I watched Clash the night before my advanced screening and it was as I've read and heard: crap. So I went into my screening not expecting much but keeping an open mind, trying to remove bias to give it a completely fair shake. And I came out very surprised saying it was a good movie. Not great (other than visually), but more than serviceable.

If a memorable script, great character development, and amazing plot are must have's for you to enjoy a movie, then you won't care much for this one. But these aspects are handled fine enough to keep the action and adventure going in Wrath, which are aspects that are handled really well. It's a surprisingly well paced movie as well. I never felt bored.

If you are an action movie fan you'll more than likely really enjoy this movie. Just try to leave the Clash negative bias at the door for a good time.
