Must fight urge to get excited........remember how bad the first one actually was!!!:cmad:

I didn't hate the first movie, despite never seeing it in theaters.

I think the sequel's strong trailer should give the franchise some rejuvenation..

From what I recall, the director said that the studio really wanted the film to be 3d. The director spoke with 3d experts and tested some footage filmed in 3d. He ultimately decided to convert, because he preferred the look of film over digital. He's trying to have the best of both worlds. I respect that.

3D-Conversion is what you make it. If you do a crappy job, it will look crappy. If you do a good job, it will look good. The fact that he schooled himself in 3D and is filming the movie with that end result in mind points to it being a good conversion. I'm not worried about it.

There is no good converted 3D. I've yet to see a single good converted 3D film that looks good converted into 3D.

The director is full of it. They are converting it because it is cheaper than to shoot it.

Same here.

I'm going to see it simply because it's not a remake of the original, which is a favorite of mine. This movie is it's own thing where they were able to write what they wanted without having to follow anything from the original with the first being a remake and all.

That and I'm a huge Greek Mythology fan and need my fix. Immortals, while not being a good movie, definitely gave me a smile and I'm going to get it on Blu-ray.

I liked pretty much all the creatures from the first movie, though Calibos looked a bit cheap.

To me it feels like a completly new film, it looks much bigger than the last one.

They do! The only real crazy thing about the first one was the Kraken. The scorpions didn't impress me much.

I think the best thing about the scorpion sequence was the sound.

I wanna see a film about how the gods overthrew the titans the first time. I guess it would take place some centuries before this film.
But I guess we will never see such a thing.

Ya, I could go for that I think it could be a decent movie. This new one looks okay, I'll see it for sure.

Hopefully the big villain at the end ( the dude coming out the lava) will have a proper fight scene.
THough i like COTT , i don't want to see some big monster spend 10 minutes coming out of the water only to be turned into stone in 5 seconds.
Kraken was cool but i had expected a bigger fight.

The new TV spots are great, it really looks a step up from the first movie so hopefully it gets better reviews than Clash and is generally a better movie.

As expected this movie is marketed as being bigger than the last and that doesn't really give me any hope that it will be better. But it could certainly distract.

i never saw the first one. it looked like crap and i hear it was in fact crap. the trailers for the sequel actually look totally decent.

still dont plan on seeing it though...

I enjoyed the first one for what it is, plus there's the Liam Neeson factor.

I'm bummed what WB did with Clash of the Titans because the original pitch sounded so much better. Still, this movie is looking much better so i hope it's entertaining.

I'm there solely for Rosamund Pike. Love that woman.

Holy crap! :wow:

Just like the last film, they know how to make a poster.

Spoiler:

Why is Zeus saying that humans are stronger than the gods? He could not mean power-wise, could he?
Maybe the gods lack strong will and hope, have nothing to fight for, are quite easy to bring down with some talking since they are no more than just a supernatural being and nothing more.
